Love the videos Nick! Got any special draping tips for fuller body types (full waist, very large bust) I need to make a couple of formal dresses for my teenage daughter and her friend. Nothing I have found in the shops that fit are appropriate for thier age so we thought about making them. One girl is very busty with a full waist and the other got the full booty with a bit of belly

Thanks a lot for the tutorial Nick. Please can this be done without a dress form? I appreciate your efforts
@samanthareeves84397 жыл бұрын
Chioma Juliet Paul yes it can! You would need to make a flat bodice sloper (which is what he drapes) and then when you cut it on muslin, add piece for the bow mimicking the size of his. I hope that makes sense!

Hi Nick, I have a question for you. Your muslin pieces would work for my daughters. They are a size 0 and a 2 but what about bigger sizes? How do you cut a muslin to fit say a size 12 or 16 or larger figure? Any hard and fast rules for this other than draping an entire bolt of muslin across someone's body. Love your videos! Oh, I watched a CHANEL Haute Couture video and they drape the same way you did. However, they did not explain anything. It was wonderful watching and understanding what they were doing and why. Pin, smooth, pin, smooth, clip, clip etc!
