I love this perspective on narcissism. From what I gathered from this video is narcissism is a result of a person who feels deep pain and who hasn't learned the skills to communicate their needs effectively and turn to manipulative tactics. They tend to ruin other people’s lives by trying to alleviate their pain. I love the way Ernst describes the how and why of this behavior from an astrological perspective. As a society, I feel we have well-defined descriptions of narcissistic behavior but many of us judge narcissists without deeply understanding how they developed those traits in the first place.

My favorite astrologer!!! My mother has mercury retrograde and a virgo moon(also with no support kemdrum dosha). She has narcissistic tendencies so much so she couldn't hold any relationship. She was the first daughter of 5 children, and the only girl, she wanted to be loved like the brothers, and always said she knew my grandmother wanted boys and she felt neglected. She always wanted to be a child of 3 years old, because in her memory that is when she had the true love from her mother, before the first brother was born. Because of her chart, she is not able to help herself. My moon in pisces clashes so much with her patterns. She doesn't explain herself, she is not in sync with others, nor with her own feelings, which makes it impossible for me to accept. It's soooo frustrating

My Mercury is exalted in the 11th house. NPD and BPD come from afflictions to the sun (NPD) and the moon (BPD). Pluto square Moon, Sun square Moon, Neptune square Moon, Saturn square sun and moon. Western planets and aspects describe this better than Indian aspects

Very true. Sun, mars, mercury in Virgo 6th house and Saturn is conjunct the moon of one of my relatives. She is extremely narcissistic and hell on wheels.

I must say thank you. It was exactly yesterday that i was thinking about who is a narcissistic person; and what if the reason i like helping people is that I am a narcissist? I'm a Leo Asc and Leo Moon. Ma Ju Sa Su in 9th house, Me Ve in 8th. Yes my feeling since early life got hurt by family and also friends until now. I am very sensitive and emotionally damaged. I have never been able to get the acceptance of my mother and my father wasn't present in my whole 24-year life. But after I started learning Jyutish since late 2021, i decided to change my life, to break endless loops and patterns. I have hurt more than 10 times during healing myself. But it worth it. I realized the fact that i must heal myself first to be able to help others. I realized i must love myself to love others as well. Matter of fact, i found out that i am alone in this way and there is nobody out there to help me. So, i stopped being a child and decided to stand out for my rights. The journey has just begun, however, it's getting more easier and sweeter as the time goes on. ❤

We gave to explore the rahu house and develop the rahu sign in order to know ourselves completely, until then, we only know half of ourselves. Nodes are the environment. We find out how someone is by observing them in different environments. A person can be wonderful coming over for a party, in the party environment, but at work no one likes them, cause they behave differently at work. In the same way, we have to experience ourselves in both the rahu and ketu environments.

A Shamed mercury is a Mercury with Saturn or Mars or Sun AND in the 5th house. OR mercury with Rahu or Ketu. But this alone doesn't make someone a narcissist as they need multiple indicators to show those behaviors.

Rahu 7th mahadasha with moon 4th as a dispositor have many indications to narsissistic traits. many similarities: person does not understand he's "too much", instead of giving to spouse - demands, and never satisfied, obsessed, if not controlling, inclibed to adharma, getting a self reflection in others (rahu7 period, narcissism similarities)

For Leo Yogakaraka Mars is exalted in 6th which also is it’s natural domain. I love Ernst, but here I must disagree when he states that Yogakaraka Graha must be in kendra or trikona for it to perform well.

He doesn't have to say that, bc in your case, Mars is Exalted...it's 'proud'/garvita and not in a bad placement. Unless it's hemmed by malefics, bc it's the 4th Lord, , or if Mars was with Saturn or Mercury...or rahu or ketu..or aspected by such. It would also be helped if with Sun or Jupiter. (Not moon bc it's the 12th lord-not an angle or trine) If you have some "bad" and some "good", together, they create the good and maybe not always so great events in life. Lastly, if a planet was shamed or starved- and in parivartina with another, this can act as a "save" at least once in life also.

It performs well as its proud, exalted, but to perform as a yoga karaka it needs to be on an angle or trine or with or in mutual aspect to an angle or trine lord. To be honest with you, between an exalted planet and a raja yoga planet I would prefer the exalted planet because its more helpful for our wellbeing.

On his channel there are plenty of videos. The main difference is that ashamed mercury is directionless, while starved mercury is not working well because it's disturbed by other planets. Let's say you have the car to race, but you are jn the desert (ashamed mercury), or you have the car and you are on race, but you don't have gasoline(starved mercury).

That creates sun starving saturn and saturn starving sun, so there is the foundation for narcissism, i.e. the pain and need, however, one still has to determine if the person is unable to help themselves or not. That is an intense combination for sure and thank you for bringing it up. If the whole of the chart is lending towards a narcissist, sun saturn opposition can create the worst of them.

Does it involves natural benefic planets and personal planets? 3)does this individual can find a way to resolve one's pain? 4)If not, does this individual has a mercury good enough to communicate and look for help from others? 5)if not, does this mercury weakens other planets and create a pattern? I have my mother example I wrote above. Mercury retrograde, Moon in Virgo kendrum dosa. Mind is ruled by a retrograde mercury directionless. There is a pattern because the virgo rulership. she feels scared and in pain, with no support, yet when she tries to ask for support, she is ashamed and blames you first. Narcissism isn t just due to childhood trauma or else there d be a lot more narcissists in the world! The trauma just triggers the underlying brain condition which is a physical defect in the brain s limbic system. Also this is genetically passed on.
