Forget about Dravidian Languages. You are certainly not Germanic Race. If it had been so, you people would produced the same level of Scientific advancement as Western Europe. All your languages were wiped out by 1200 years Muslim Colonization. Only the Sanskrit Language was left and then over the last 200 years the British adopted it as communication language.

Yov Keelzhadi at the oldest dates back to 600 BCE. Post Indus Valley cultures such and black and red pottery ware, painted greyware etc date to immediately after the dissipation of Indus Valley people and are all in the area of the eastern portion of the Indus Valley region and date back to at least 1800 BCE by the western archeaologists own claims. By this time, Indic tongues are recorded in the entire region. And their art, pottery culture are extremely similar and an evolution of Indus Valley styles. Any IVC influence in SOuth India came from these cultires and not directly from IVC.

@Hand Cuffs You North Indians have a lot of hatred for people of Southern Indian. I have encountered this myself. 01-- About 10 years in Bangalore, A Delhi / UP mistook me for a North Indian, & said that The Culture here is so different, we are not here to permanently. (Yehan culture itna alag hai, humko thode hi yehan pe settle ho na hai. But will settle here 20 to 25 years & not learn Kannada / Telugu. When we come to your place we have to learn Hindi. From my own study I found out that in Rigveda there is 10 Kings War mentioned. The loosers had to leave the Bharat and move to different parts of the world. That could explain the similarity with European languages and at the same time it debunk the AIT. It was the other way around, people from Bharat moved and settled around the world.

actually the IVC language is more similer to dravidian may be because of the fact that the sanskrit language got refirmed later in period around 3000bce by sage Panini who lived in northern indian subcontinent, So Sanskrit got diverged away from IVC Language & at the same time, the southern languages retained their original IVC Language root form.

But i don't find any similarly between european and indian language it seems european borrowed some indian words and they called themselves Indo-European. I am confident the flow is out of india not in india as they potray in nonsense theory called aryan invasion.

Similarities and differences will be observed in root words and plosives and fricative usage . For example word seven in sanskrit is Saptam, in Greek it is Septum, in Latin it is Hepta, in Old Persian it is Hafta, in almost all north indian languages it is called "saat" or "sapt". However in Telugu it is called "Edu", im tamil it is called "enlu", in Kannada is called "elu", in Tulu it is called "yelu". In malyalam it is called "el" , in kurukh and oraon of Jharkhand it is called "eulu". Thus on basis of root words languages are classified and origin is determined. Plosives and fricatives are also the criteria. That would need a longer comment to explain.

The head of elephantory wing of armies of Gupta Empire was called Mahapilupati -The chief of mahavats. Gupta empire was predominantly northern empire. Does it mean that people of Indus Valley civilisation spoke Sanskrit or Indo Aryan language. On one side the historians or researchers establish that these people are the same people as vedic Aryan’s. Since the one group of researchers try to establish the anthropological unity among Indians, perhaps the other group which may be foreign sponsored or politically motivated with mala fide intention again tried to divide the Indians on such theories.

To be honest, proto Dravidian could be the language of the Harappans, but so could be proto Munda. But this conjecture based on one word is highly speculative. In the vast stretch of territory, it is more than likely that there could have been multiple languages spoken by them. Fact is unless we decipher the script, there is no way to conclusively prove anything, some even question whether if the so called Indus script is even a script! I think the Indus valley civilization will always reman an enigma, elusive to our overtures to define it.

In latest Researches, Archeological Survey if India said IVC is not 4000 BC old rather 6000 BC that would eventually make its connection with Mesopotamia irrelevant. There are proofs but not solid ones to prove the Connection between two civilizations. Writer Makhan jha has also written the same. Foreigners do not want to let it prove that our civilization was the oldest but one of the oldest. The Indian civilization parallel to Mesopotamia was another one which is yet to be found out. Our languages may it be Dravidians like Tamil, Malyalam and so forth or others like Sanskrit are much older than they are envisaged in western world.

Exactly as we know IVC traded with elephant sumer and akkad must have adopted IVC name for elephant which is dravidian and not just one word many researchers have deliberately established various dravidian influences across North West Indian languages and also in oldest rigveda which we know for sure was composed in northwest India which proves dravidian too be one of languages of IVC. When it comes to history we shouldn't have any biases and propaganda. And no need to worry as IVC is too big so very much possible that other languages like sanskrit based may have existed too but so far we didn't find any evidence. Even if it's only dravidian language doesn't mean people of India are not Harrapans as 70% of genes especially north and northwest India is harappan wheras steppe is just 15% means you just adopted new language and it doesn't take away harrapan heritage of yours.
