Hi my son is waiting 4 an ITA.PNP Ontario

If I apply for a 2 year IEC, when does that 2 years start? For example, if I enter into the pool now and hypothetically get accepted in the next month, am I expected to move straight away? I'm conscious of applying before I'm actually ready and able to go, but considering that it could take many months before I'm accepted, I'm not sure what the best course of action is.

Heya Ben, the 2 years will start when you land in the country, hand over the immigration officer the POE and they hand you back your work permit. You are under no obligation to leave right away when you get a POE. We're not sure Behdad, IRCC haven't been very consistent lately so I'm afraid we can't say :(

@@Moving2Canadainfo thank you for your reply. My point is 490. Two weeks ago I didn't receive ITA. Do you think sending a web form is a good idea? Or is just wasting time :)

@@Behdadd Always worth sending a web form but maybe check if you met the tie breaker cut off? That might explain why you didn't get pulled

@@Moving2Canadainfo Thank you for your answer. Yes, I submitted my application on Sep 2022, and I didn't receive the ITA. However, to the best I know, I am not the only candidate with the CRS 490 and submitted his application before 24 Nov 2022 and has not received the ITA in draw 238.

I remember during 2021 IRCC rotated between PNPs and CECs so imo there’s the possibility that they might do that again?

It could be for sure! With targeted draws and the focus on PNPs rising this year who knows whats going to happen for sure!

Hopefully🤞🤞My concern is, as a CEC applicant with a current score of 474 that will increase to 499 in June~July and working in a not-in-demand skilled profession, will regular EE scores still fall below 500 when regular draws occur alongside targeted draws, since the number of invitations for regular draws could potentially decrease.

@@anonymuz_guy9820 Alas we don't know :( Without more info about targeted draws being made public we're all just waiting to see what IRCC decide. We did have a great video planned for today to talk about the points dropping and when people might expect to get pulled but unfortunately it was not to be!
