This is frustrating. I moved with my whole family, as an experienced but aged software developer, assuming getting a PR would not be very difficult, because I’d get extra points for the job offer, to make up for the points I lose on age. Now what is Canada telling me? Does Canada prefer inexperienced young immigrants over experienced skilled professionals that are of course older? Nothing against younger people, but just losing points for age doesn’t make sense to me.

For me not giving CRS scores for finding a job maybe fine, if Canada were to remove the ageism in their system (when you losing points as a present on your birthday) and also not providing more points for experience beyond 3 years of work experience.

This was so helpful! Would love to know 2 things: 1. Is the pool to apply open all year or just in certain months of the year? 2. What type of work can you do on the working holiday visa? for example, I am a freelancer and would love to keep 1 or 2 of my current clients so I have guaranteed money coming in and add on a couple canadian clients and/or work with brands in content creation when I'm there...is that possible on this visa?

If you are not a millionaire, you may find living here quite difficult. Enjoy poverty, watch or become part of the homeless, and enjoy the results of bad government over decades of refusing to help the impoverished. Taxes are unreasonable. Home costs reflect that, and are some of the most expensive in the world. Yep, don't come here unless you have at least $10,000,000.00 spending money. And, if you do, plan to build your home.

The water is lovely in the summer, although it usually takes a minute or two to adjust. If you’re coming for a beach vacation I would highly recommend August; the water is much nicer at that point.

As a former Rogers Ignite user, BELL fiber is really really good, Copper cable connection really shows its age and the uploads don't go beyond 50mbps. BELL is the undisputed best

Since most of us have copper links in our homes, fiber optics is limited by that one copper section. Unless you build with fiber optics, you get lower options. But unless you game or are micromanaging employees, the copper loop speed is enough.

We are 33 married couple from Australia and have 2 children 6 and 3 are we able to get a working holiday visa and bring our children? We both have had 1 working visa each in 2013 where we actually met over there. We would like to go back with our kids this time. Any advice would be appreciated.
