I love the tips on this channel. I specially like the videos with the golfsidekick. Hasn’t trackman data shown that the initial direction of the ball is mostly determined by clubhead alignment/direction? Therefore aiming clubhead at target would result in a ball that starts in the direction of the target and curves away from it.

How do I stop raising up when I hit the ball
@michelelowgolf75012 жыл бұрын
There are many reasons. Try to avoid early extension. Turn instead of trusting the right hip forward at impact
U hit a draw shot coz u want the ball to run once on green ?
@michelelowgolf75013 жыл бұрын
It will release more. For example if you have 150m to a back pin and you need a 7 iron but lets say you cannot hit it over the green so you can go with an 8 iron amd hit a draw. It might give you 145 and release more on the green. So don’t have to worry about hitting it over

I find when teaching someone to hit a draw I find they have more success if they first adjust stance variable to right and get grooved on swinging down that new line and coming out of the swing looking at their target to the right, not coming up and out of the swing to look at the target (something you have the discipline not to do.) which changes spine angle and affects balance in the finish. Staying committed to swinging and finishing to the right is what I think you mean by saying “trust the swing.” After grooving the swing to the right I’ll have them incrementally close the face a few degrees at a time, still grooving the swing to the right, and observe how much adding the second variable of face angle affects shape, carry and how much the ball bounces and rolls right to left after landing due to the draw spin on the ball.

I was taught (at a golf school) that to hit an intentional hook (say, around a tree) is to … 1) Aim the clubface where you want the ball to finish, and 2) Set your stance where you want the ball to start … and swing along your feet (stance) It has seemed to work quite well for me, BUT I have never seemed to master the DRAW. I can either hit it straight or a pretty severe hook. I always dreamed of a soft DRAW as my stock shot, but … 🤷🏼♂️

I would like to say that I have learnt more from your video lessons than one-to-one session from in person golf instructor.. some might think how is that possible. Well, It is possible because some golf instructors just don't know how to teach the relevant information.... I am well impressed. i compare your lessons to others on youtube (usually men like me!) focussing on power and distance. On the range we all hit harder and harder without much progress. By the way I find Drills are also very useful that can be practiced at home but most important is your skill in breaking down the shot into smaller portions. I don't mind paying for these video lessons they are so accurate and useful. Great Work
