DRAW WITH ME || Ibis Paint X on Wacom Cintiq

Heyo! This is my first video. My name is Bree. I am trying to get back into drawing again after having art block and imposter syndrome for almost 2 years. My art style has changed a lot from that time and I'm still not 100% happy with my art, but I want to take things one step at a time, practicing new techniques and trying new things. I wanted to show my process in painting this sketch. I think I like the drawing better without the lineart T-T. I get so attached to my sketches

Heyo! So for my sketch (before I start coloring) I am drawing on mixed media paper with either Crayola or Prismacolor pencils. I import it into Ibis and color over it with the layers on multiply. I know some people are asking what brush is my lineart and I feel like you're asking about the sketch. I'm sorry it's not a brush😭

@@bweehoneyno problem! I think (this is just my opinion) but since this video is blowing up, maybe can try doing more thumbnails like this one and see how that’ll work for you. Again that’s just my opinion, you don’t have to listen to it. But yeah, overall, your channel is great! Keep it up 🔥🔥🔥

@@bweehoney I think you should because from what I seen that’s what a lot of big channels do. They have a certain style to their thumbnail and they basically just reuse that same style over and over again. Like, David Dobrik, Mr.Beast,etc. So In my opinion maybe you should try it out and see what works for you. I wish you the best on your KZbin journey, I hope you make it big!

Hi bree! Nice to see a new art youtuber on here! If you dont like ink and prefer sketch why not use just that ? Allot of srtist havy a more sketchy style either you can just leave the sketch as it is or you can use an inkpen but ink in a sketshy eay ontop For instance the cartoon disney movie 101 dalmations have that sketchy inking on the buildings if the houses the color is not even colored all the way to the "inking" area. It can be your style Bree-the no lineart person :) Why not? Do whatever you like and usually what yoou yourself find odd about yourself is the thinks other people will find intresting unique and like you for! Also I have a question what is the exact name of the tablet? I understand it is a wacom but what size and generstion :)? I hope to see more srt from you bree whenever your ready 🎉😊 (I like that you have a cartoon/anime style we need more of that on here modt people have dissipeared or stleast I can hsrdly find decent videos )

hey! if youre talking about the sketch before i started coloring, that is colored pencil on mixed media paper. i took a picture and import it in ibis. I think in this drawing, I used the pencil (#1) but lately I like using colored pencil for my lineart cuz it matches my initial sketch^^

oi! that looks so good! quick question though since i only recently got my cintiq and as a former ipad user, im STRUGGLING. how do you so quickly move the canvas?? does your wacom have touch or are u just that good with the keyboard??

Thank you! I zoom in and out with my mouse and I have my keyboard sitting on my lap and I have to hold the space button to move around the canvas with the pen. My wacom doesn't have touch😭

I love the style of your art, how long did it take for your art to actually look presentable? Im just now getting back into drawing and it just looks atrocious any tips?

anytime i drew something, i always thought it looked presentable, even artwork from years ago. i look back at it now and cringe lol. but that is a part of growing. i would suggest not comparing your art to other artists cuz it just makes you feel bad. make your best work and if youre unhappy with something from that piece, do your best to study how to fix it
