Totally agree on smaller paintings! For some reason less stress is associated with having to be responsible for filling an entire sheet. Lovely video and great inspiration going into the weekend :)

HA! you mentioned the whole "pencil crayon" thing as I was thinking it in my head. I say colored pencil, but to each their own:)

I prefer working smaller too (it's easier to fill a, sketchbook for one thing! 😁). I've got some square 4"x4" ones from Pink Pig, which I love. 😊

What was the white you put on the leaf ? Acrylic ? Gouache ? Seeing videos like this or your process is always enjoyable. :)

I'm trying to resist the urge to draw /paint till after the exams and this is entertaining yet painful to watch. Everyone talking about no nut November I'm over here with no art November. Pain. 😭

You could draw with pencil and scrap paper That's the most low budget I can think of. In case you can't buy supplies right now.

Don't torture yourself like that... But tbh I'm 100% procrastinating while drawing and painting, and shouldn't ;;;

Aaaaa I relate so much with all the "cheating" stuff, that thought still hinders me while making art but I'm getting better at ignoring the tought. I feel like using multiple brushes is cheating because I know I can do it with a single brush. But even if that's true, it's still ridiculous to stop myself from using different tools. Also with not getting the right color at the first try, I used to get sooo mad at myself and thinking, "welp, I couldn't get the right color but using a correction layer with different layer modes is totally cheating so Imma have to leave my painting at a lower grade, even if I know I could upgrade it right here right now" like why are you doing this to me, brain?

I'm curious why did you paint edges of paper after you'd taken off the tape?
