Radiohead make music like Abtract Art! Its like People in rhe 1930s standing confused in front a Picasso first Cubist painting! CREEP is their most mainstream accessible track! But to really understand the genius if their music, you really have to listen to a whole album in dark room at night just to give your brain tome to figure it out and adapt! Radiohead was kinda grunge on their first album (which Creep is from), then got into some britpop and art rock, then taking a left turn to more experimental electronic music before kinda going back to more art rock and experimental indie rock. Their last album (A moon shaped pool) has a lot of cinematic string arrangements and is very piano-based. They're a very interesting band that keep on challenging both themselves and their audience.

I would recommend Paranoid Android it's my favourite and Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters has said it's in his top 10 of greatest songs ever written. Very eclectic and not your normal song but very artistic. Shows off the talent of Thom York the lead singer. Have fun.

It's good to hear them at this early stage and I agree it does have a grungy feel, but wait until you hear their 3rd album 'OK Computer'! They've really developed their sound so much more by then and the album is universally acclaimed as a masterpiece. I strongly recommend 'Paranoid Android' as played live on the 'later with Jools Holland' BBC music show, one of the very best live performance I've ever seen!

You will enjoy PMJ featuring Haley Reinhart. Her singing in this song is a Master Class on various Vocal Techniques. I know two other covers of this song that are great in their own light. Both are from singing competitions. The first is "Brian Justin Crum", in his 2nd performance on AGT. The other are "Mimi and Josefin" (Sisters) on The Voice - Kids (Germany). Even if you can't react to them, I'd suggest listening to them, as they each have a different sound.

After hearing the cover of this song by PMJ featuring Haley Reinhart, may I suggest another cover of Creep by PAULINA VILLARREAL, drummer of the up and coming power trio THE WARNING. Then check out the rest of their songs like EVOLVE, DISCIPLE, reimagining of ENTER SANDMAND, AND CHOKE. These three sisters from Mexico are exploding onto the hard rock scene. They've already opened for Foo Fighters, Guns N Roses, Three Days Grace, Halestorm, currently touring with Muse in Europe, and have already headlined several tours in America.

I wouldn't classify Radiohead as grunge but, around the time of grunge, there was a lot of grunge-adjacent "alternative" music. That's where I'd probably file early Radiohead. Btw, def looking forward to y'all checking out Postmodern Jukebox's cover of "Creep" because it's a great interpretation that becomes its own thing and I think you'll really like it. Plus, it usually leads a channel into a mini-rabbit hole of at least a few more of PMJ's popular covers, particularly those featuring either Haley Reinhart or Morgan James on vocals, and that's always a fun journey to follow. If you're looking for more Radiohead, "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" is a great one. "Karma Police" was a radio hit. "Paranoid Android" is a good one if you want to check out a slightly more evolved Radiohead (in what I think of as their "90s dark Pink Floyd" era). "Exit Music (For A Film)" if you want something dramatic. "Everything In It's Right Place" if you're looking for more electronic and futuristic Radiohead. Honestly, it's hard to go wrong with Radiohead. I'll probably re-suggest these when you do a PMJ reaction but, in addition to "Creep" featuring Haley Reinhart, I'd suggest PMJ and Haley's cover of the White Stripes song, "Seven Nation Army" (which they do as a New Orleans style dirge) as well as their cover of Tove Lo's "Habits" (which takes kind of a dark song and somehow makes it bubbly). Also great are PMJ and Morgan James covering Aerosmith's "Dream On" (which could easily be a James Bond theme song) and Maroon 5's song, "Maps" (which they do with a 70s soul vibe). And for a fun one, check out "All About That Bass" (the European Tour version) featuring Haley, Morgan, and Ariana Savalas on vocals as well as Casey Abrams and Adam Kubota on bass. And, finally, one that doesn't get enough love but is pretty spectacular, PMJ and Miche Braden covering Prince's "Purple Rain." Miche takes Prince to CHURCH. It's a good one.

Grunge changed the path of rock once it hit in 91 so when you hear bands after, that reminds you of grunge it's because of just that....rock was one way before grunge then another way after grunge. You're basically hearing what happened the day Kurt Cobain and Nirvana kicked the door open! Grunge was Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains! The Seattle Four was the Grunge movement...if anyone else says anything different, they were probably too young or in diapers in the early 90s...I was 19 in 91 and a guitarist so I seen the scene. lol

Wow, here's a rabbit hole for you. You'll understand, especially if you can move through their work chronologically, that they're just very, very good songwriters and arrangers. Nobody does things like Radiohead, nobody. They think differently in all respects. For example, they were the first band I ever heard release their latest album as a download from their website and you just paid what you thought it was worth. It was funny, not too long after that I think it was Madonna announced she was doing the same thing, but when fans downloaded, it wasn't the whole album or complete songs, some sort of limitation anyway. There you go, one artist offers their fans something real, complete and on the fan's terms, the other artist just saw a marketing opportunity.

You really ought to check out Robbie Williams. He was HUGE outside of the US (never bothered breaking it!). And I mean worldwide mega-fame (just look at the number of views on his official You Tube Videos. Try out Angels, Let me Entertain You and any song from Live at Knebworth (which I still believe is the biggest crowd at any concert ever!). Yes, you really ought to treat yourself to some more Radiohead, I've enjoyed every single one of their nine albums from '93 to 2016, but it's no wonder that their third album OK Computer was their biggest success. But I personally don't think they've 'dropped the ball' since then, and I still love their previous albums. Creep was their first single, a top ten hit in 4 territories. I'd recommend Street Spirit (Fade Out) the last track from their second album, Karma Police from their third, How To Disappear Completely from their fourth (have patience with that one then listen again a couple more times!) and Go To Sleep from their sixth, composed in alternating bars of 4/4 and 6/4 which gives it a very interesting sound to say the least! In all honesty though, Radiohead are best listened to by the 'whole album' in my opinion. Like Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin for instance.

This song is borderline genius! I wasn't impressed with the audio quality (mix) of this recording. I'm sure that LIVE (actually being there) would be amazing. One measure of excellence for any song is how many times and how many other groups or bands have covered it. This song has been covered a LOT. If you aren't aware, Pentatonix does a shortened version of this in competition that is great. When you hear the PMJ with Hailey Reinhart version, THAT is when you have heard the best (my opinion). Hailey offers one of the best musical performances I have ever heard. Keep up the great reactions! You two make a great team!!

Thom Yorke and the band weren't fans of this track even with it's popularity, they were annoyed with it and wrote the song 'my iron lung' in reference to 'creep' I would say most that grew up with Radiohead are fans, ever evolving with no exact style. They really upped the game with OK computer and shifted again with kid A imo and I don't think there's one album that hasn't got a particular track that you'll love and constantly play. Radiohead are very definitely not grunge but grunge is entirely why this was their first single. Their record company thought it fit the grunge market perfectly so they insisted on releasing it despite the band actually really disliking the song. Unfortunately for them we fans still love it though. You won't believe what Radiohead are capable of sonically, keep going! There is nothing else like Creep but everything there is, is incredible.
