@@dogskulls Phonetically, the 'd' sound and English 'j' sounds are quite similar. Imagine making your 'd' very high and forward in your mouth, and sort of push it out explosively while slurring it. It wouldn't happen normally, just when someone was talking fast, and remember it supposed to be a child's idea of the pronunciation. (It's related to the phonological process where people say "choo choo train" and it sounds more like "choo choo chrain". Try it for yourself!) All this being said, while I can theoretically understand how it could happen, I agree that it doesn't work at all in my dialect.

I must debunk this propaganda that movie Mistoffelees is closer to the poem. The line goes "His manner is vague and aloof, and you would think there was nobody shyer". The use of "You would think" implies a perception than is not quite true.

It doesn't necessarily imply that, I'd argue. "you would think there was nobody shyer" could imply that he's so shy that you'd not think someone could be shyer, which is just a hyperbolic statement about how shy he is. It could be suggesting that you'd expect from his seemingly-shy nature that he'd not be capable of all these "magical" things. You could argue the next line about him being heard on the roof implies he's not shy. However, his voice is heard on the roof when he's curled by the fire, and his purring is heard by the fire when he's actually up on the roof. I think that's more just about how he's never where you expect. You think he's doing one thing, but he's off doing another. He "defies examination" and it's confusing. The descriptions of him as "quiet", "aloof", and "vague" probably support that he might be a bit "shy". I think the point might be more that you don't really know with him. It's like the quiet, unassuming person who you don't really expect much of until they randomly and casually do something brilliant like it's no big deal. It's the shy, unassuming nature contrasting with the "magic". Also, reading that poem, I'm pretty sure Mr Mistoffelees turned out to be female, and that's the sort of punchline. He produces 7 kittens out of a hat implies he had a litter of kittens, like magic because his owners had assumed he was male, hence his name.

Also about The Old Rebublic, there are aspects of thr stories that have been confirmed canon like Revan's existence and the Infinite Empire of the Rakata but its basically been stated that it was so long ago that it doesn't matter too much to the current timeline.

To Lil Kuriboh, I never really "watched" the abridged series, I saw a few episodes and enjoyed them but never committed to the series. But I've always known you through PurpleEyesWTF and other creators, and loved whenever you stared in their content. Really cool to hear you've been in much bigger projects as well, that made me genuinely smile

Once upon a time, in 2012(?) as a high schooler and fabled Tumblrold, I stayed awake for a 24hr charity stream hosted by AngelLust155 and Taemanaku with Martin (Little Kuriboh) as the honored guest. I can’t remember if ShadyVox had joined at some point as well, but the stream was full of YGOTAS and Thiefshipping fanart galore and it was such a wonderful time. Yu-Gi-Oh holds such a special place in my heart, in part to memories of fandom experiences like that stream, and it makes everything feel so right when that nostalgic love carries over into my current interests. I am still in touch with a dear friend that I met through that stream 10 years later! The fact that our beloved Drawfee crew and Martin get to have a fun time together sharing their experiences with YGO is so amazing to see.
