Fun fact: there isn’t actually a solid distinction between rats & mice. It really is just “rat big”. Like I once had a professor go one for 15 minutes about whether certain species should be considered mice or rats bc they’re in that “ambiguous middle zone”

Reminds me of frogs vs toads. All of the differences are aesthetic, and (as far as I know) every family of Anura (the order that frogs and toads belong to) has at least one of each, so there's very little genetic distinction

Re: Ending of Grease The jacket represents Danny's character growth because it is a LETTERMAN jacket. To earn a letter for your jacket you have to make the Varsity team (in Danny's case, track) for a full season. The thing about being on a Varsity team is you have to keep your grades up (B or better on my school) or you get kicked off. So this shows that he buckled down and did the thing. Showing that he can actually be smart enough to pass his classes and have the focus to maintain it. He had internal growth and the jacket was the external representation of it.

This is an extremely valid point and it's a shame that Grease didn't do more to convey that in its ending. Like, even if he just picked up the jacket when they get into the car before it goes flying off - that small detail would 1) indicate that Danny had made an effort and it still mattered to him, even now that Sandy is with him and 2) establishing the possibility of growth in the future. Instead we're left with this ending where it feels like Sandy makes a lot more drastic changes (and in the case of smoking, ones with permanent effects) whereas Danny's change is easily discarded. Which is why I prefer Grease 2.

Baby rats and (adult) mice look extremely similar. So rat = big mouse is pretty accurate. Also as someone with pet rats I have to point out that rats can be very adorable. They're smart and can learn tricks just like dogs.

I was obsessed with 101 Dalmatians. I had a (faux) fur Dalmatian print jacket, 101 Dalmatian pajamas, 101 Dalmatian birthday party... While other kids wanted to be the mom or dad playing house, I wanted to be the dog. Or horse. When I was looking to get a dog as an adult, I considered a Dalmatian but decided they'd be too energetic for my health issues. Although I ended up adopting a doberman from the shelter, a breed I'd also decided was too much for me, but lucked out because my dog is relatively low energy; he just needs a couple walks a day and lots of mental stimulation. My dog has specific shrubs and trees he likes to poop on. His favorite one is a mile away and he'll hold it until we get there. And usually before he poops, he paces back and forth, tries to hitch his butt up as high as possible, and lifts a back leg. Not sure what that's supposed to accomplish.
