This is a lovely picture smoothie, I actually think I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be one of the best you’ve done. I’m so thankful there are so many videos on patreon for it, 8 just for the graphite part, I’ve got my grid drawn and am now ready to start 😊

Thanks very much Margaret, I don't know if it is the best I've done but it turned out ok, I was pleased with it, and of course really enjoyed the process, I think there is 4 videos to accompany the watercolour part, I hope you enjoy them,

smoothie77 I’m sure I will I’ve decided it’s time to step out of my comfort zone again and go for the wash as well, I will take a photograph before I commit to watercolour lol. I think it is going to be amazing I’ve seen what you do with pencil and wash and you underestimate your talent, I can’t think that all of a sudden you are going to mess up with this one you don’t have it in you lol

AMAZINE... SIR, PLEASE TELL ME WHAT KIND OF PAPER YOU USE HERE.
@candacebuck617 жыл бұрын
Love your work and technique. Do you ever use hot press watercolor paper for drawing? I understand your use of cold press for texture, however.
@smoothie77drawingpainting7 жыл бұрын
Thank you, yes I have used hot pressed for drawing, it works fine,

Hi Smoothie, when you referred to the Tombo eraser leaving some marks after erasing the grid lines, was that the same predicament that you had several videos back where you were drawing the Belgium canal scene? I still battle with this issue where I use my Tombo eraser for the grid and when I apply the graphite powder it seems to stick to the lines.
@grahameke35337 жыл бұрын
Excellent video by the way. Loved it!
@smoothie77drawingpainting7 жыл бұрын
Hi Graham, no it wasn't the thing , the eraser I used for the Belgium canal scene was the pink one on the end of the Ticonaroga pencil, that left a slug trail that the graphite stuck to, the Tombow eraser was on its last bit of rubber and the plastic pole was(i think) just peeping through the eraser, hence scratched the watercolour paper and leaving those marks once the paint was applied, If you're having problems with the Tombow and graphite powder, try another eraser, do a test piece first...
