I find AI art kind of infuriating too. People can't just claim art generated by a robot and say that it is theirs, especially sense it's a mix of other artists art. Oh, and congrats on almost 20k now! I love tiny Cromwell's hair lol

I’ve been on the fence on being invested your channel ‘cuz I wasn’t sure what type of artist you are (‘cuz social media scarred me with good artists turning out having bad attitudes) and this video made me understand you on a more personal level as a person and on what making art is about. Not posting on social media helped me be more comfortable with figuring out what I want to draw without the pressure of what others would think about it. The need for constant validation on social media’s why it’s so easy to burn out and feel unmotivated about drawing, and I think more artists need to spread the message of ‘there not being a *right* way to make art’ so that beginners won’t have unrealistic expectations about how quickly their art should develop and just enjoy the process.

This video is like-weirdly inspiring. Not weirdly but-it’s very encouraging. My art is cartoony and fun and funky and colorful-and right now I’m creating my portfolio to apply to art school…but online everyone else’s portfolios are so technical and deep and wonderful…and mine is a couple funky cats with water color..-so this video just really pushed me to trust myself and my skills and I want to thank you for posting this :)

I’m glad to hear someone go over this topic and actually be able to relate to it, I try to have conversations about AI art and things with my dad and he defends AI like a religious figure.😂 this was a great topic overall and I liked the audience interaction. If idea suggestions are appreciated, what if you did a video going into world building and or character and story building? I myself am an artist and a writer and love making stories and things and I know many individuals that are the same! i think the correct way of doing art is doing it your own way. you should never think your art is not as good as someone else's and try to do art like them.

i noticed a little static in the background of the voiceover. I recommend using audacity for audio (if you wanna its cool if you dont) and using "effect" "tool" and "noise reduction" record a part of ur audio not talking and get the "noise profile" and it will take in the background audio and remove the background and then click the whole audio and click "ok" (or mess around with noise reduction settings) and it should fix this which i think is pretty cool, i have channel called sam is weird and this is how i try to make voiceovers better

honestly for me i think that all art (aside from ai art) is kinda valid. id really rather that not be the case as some art is horrid, not in the skill level sense but in the actual messaging of the piece, ie fac1st/n@zi imagery in a glorified manner, racist art, exploitive art, etc etc, but it still took the author thinking of it and making it. Same goes with the examples in the video, although those are far less extreme lol, but it still took effort and at least some level of creativity to be able to think of and accomplish the piece

Capitalism and art trends are definitely interconnected. Trying to create something that you enjoy but doesn't provide financial stability means that a lot of creatives end up conforming to specific types of art/trends that work well. It's a really weird line to walk on. And oof yeah;; I also just graduated highschool (about a year ago) and am trying to gain an income from my art so I can have some stability as I go through college. I really want to create comics that I've had on my head for a long time and see the emotions it brings to other people reading them. The idea of making money off of my comics is SUCH a pressuring thing though. Burnout from continually churning out art so you can survive is not fun--and putting people through that sounds so exhausting

I absolutely agree with you on AI art and I thought that your point was very well written and expressed. However, I disagree with your point on the Secret Invasion intro. The whole plot of the show is is about something else masquerading as human, and I found the intro to be kind of a metaphor for that, making a connection between the whole AI art dilemma, and how it masquerades as real, human art. Yes, I still wish that it intro to the show was not AI generated, and prefer the more traditional methods, I also believe that it was an eloquent way to symbolize the series.

yes, metaphorically i definitely think it works. however, if someone without the symbolic context sees that disney used ai art generators in a major project, that paints the picture that Disney, the face of the creative industry, is giving into this new wave of technology that could potentially take a lot of jobs away from people in the creative industry. i personally believe any major company should refrain from using ai art of any kind, whether it be visual, writing, or whatever. it may have been appropriate for secret invasion to use it, but i just don’t think it should ever be used in projects like that in the first place.

Marvel did spend money on that intro. That's the biggest issue. Open AI and all of these other places are stealing art from artists and charging users money to generate it. Marvel studios hired an actual animation studio with real animators that just pocketed all of those profits and gave them that.

ai art is intresting to me, i dont belive it should be considered "art" since art is something handcrafted and true to yourself no matter the meaning behind it. If something is ai generated, i dont think it should be considered art, although, i do find it amazing how far we've come with tech and are able to produce these beautiful pictures through code, i dont belive it should be considered "art" instead an ai generated picture or concept. - along with the concept of right waysto make art, i feel as though art comes in many different shapes and forms,and there isnt a correct way to create. although, it doesnt mean that in school you can draw a few scribbles and call it art. (for example. a kid at my school took this concept of "no wrong art" too far and just used it as an exscuse to be lazy and drew some circles) and thats not what art is, abstract art is great and all, but i feel as though a few lines, dots, scribbles, shouldnt be considered art, or at least good art. But my overall answer is no, theres no "Correct" way to create art, but i do belive for certain styles and drawing teqniqes, there are rules that shouldnt be just thrown out the window, like if your making a hyper-realistic drawing, dont just throw lighting out the window. - Now my final thing is that with crituqes or critcizim, i dont find it wrong whatsoever,as long as its appropiate and just genuine feedback. Because its important for crituqes to grow and most of the time, people are just trying to help and dont mean it rude in anyway. and i just think that its just part of our system to want to correct something or say something to people if we find it wrong. sorry for ranting!! but heres my opions on it all

I think that AI Art Generator are a great tool, you litteraly have an unlimited amount of references and inspiration no matter what is the subject or details you need at the tips of your fingers, if you can imagine it, AI Art can generate it. However it is used to rip off artists and sell cheap copy of famous artists. AI Art could have been something awesome and it's so sad that it end up like this.

tbh i love the idea of ai art being used strictly to help artists with their creativity. however, i think artists becoming dependent on it for inspiration or reference just feels wrong to me because of the point about ai art being generated from other works. i have seen a few instances of it being used for good, but i still am very wary of it. ill probably revisit this topic in a few months when its evolved a bit more

Its like what you said,it could be a reference,it could be what your art can look like...If you're confused,I know. Im bad at explaining. But people just keep repeating the same thing for themselves,saying AI art is so good and all,generating other people's art.. And AI art shouldnt even called art in the first place. Its just an image of every lines put together with zero understanding of whats going on. It should just be called "AI generated images",calling it art is insulting
