The White Nights are, actually, professional grade. The Sonnet paints by the same company are the student grade version.

Ooh! That's really nice to hear! I genuinely thought they were student grade 😊

I started making my own watercolor blocks for the same reason you make your sketchbooks. And I highly recommend the swordfish sharpener.

And making sketchbooks is so peaceful, too! Thank you for the sharpener suggestion! ❤️

This was a lovely video, very well put together. I always enjoy seeing other people's favorite supplies. I'm also a big fan of White Nights watercolors. I've been really wanting to try quill brushes but haven't gotten around to it.

Quill brushes are so nice 😊 i like that they allow me to be looser, if that's something you would like ❤️

I have 2 questions. 1.) Have you used the hot press version of fabriano studio? And 2.) With the fabriano studio, can you layer? I find most cellulose paper (besides stillman and birn and a fee others) you can't layer well on bc the paint lifts so easily on it.
@TheLazyArtist Жыл бұрын
Hello!! 🥰 i have not used the hot pressed version of fabriano studio, yet, mostly because i like my paper to be textured. And about layering, i found the fabriano studio paper to take layers pretty well, even with all the water I use. I use a lot of water and never had any issues with the paper losing its integrity. If if you find the paints lift a lot, it could be just the way the paints are, i find that St Petersburg watercolors don't really lift well 😊

Hi Just found your channel…what a really thorough video of your favourite supplies. Loved the gentleness of the presentation and your voice is so easy to listen to 😄. Thanks so much!! Really surprised you have called yourself the Lazy Artist? Look far from lazy to me!😂 What’s behind you choosing that name? Wishing you all the best 👍.

Tip: You can further reduce the plastic waste by refilling said cartridges with a syringe and some ink. Or just get a refillable cartridge. Also remember to soak your pens in luke warn water once a week.
@TheLazyArtist2 жыл бұрын
I know about the syringe tip and the refillable cartridges... the only little issue I had with them was the ink i used, it nearly damaged my pens 😭 but i will get ink to be able to refill them, i think it saves a lot of money, too 😊 thank yoi for your words 😊
