I was varying the distance between my lines when i do rocks as opposed to keeping the lines equally spaced and breaking them. I'll try this as it looks way better. Thanks!

Establishing light sources, interactions with them, shadowing, on various textures (not only faces, I mean), some tips, etc. I think, more deep understanding of this kinda "basic stuff" itself, is what many of us need. Keep up the good work :)

It's like you have a natural inbuilt ability and it just flows from you on to the paper. I'm like 'how did he know where to put those lines on that tree?' I'd be studying it going 'hmmm...should I put a line there or there? And should it be a squiggle or a curve?' haha
