She did use the wrong lane and clearly ran the red light. I am not going on pretty faces or the nice person theory. There is no sign there that says you are allowed to turn right while the light is red, so sorry to say this, but I would have her pay up as she is still required to look around. No sign that it would be allowed, doesn't mean you get to drive trough it. For the wrong lane part, well that one should be very clear, she made in this case a bad situation worse and more dangerous for other drivers. So yes of course she should pay the ticket.
@davidc64735 жыл бұрын
I mean, usually when a lane goes straight you are allowed to turn - I'm talking from first hand experience since its Florida (where the law student is) and in Florida you are allowed to turn left or right on a straight lane as along as there is not a "No turn on red" sign. Which there is not on the light. I'm fully speaking on Florida though but I didn't see a wrong turn on the lady.

@alanivanov39155 жыл бұрын
You are right. Also, there is a lane for a right turn. She didn't use that, she took a right on a red light, from the COMPLETELY wrong lane. The yellow sign also shows where to go. And even then, she took the turn from the furthest lane instead of the closest lane. She was wrong on so many levels, that this didn't deserve to be passed to litely to be honest.
@SIG4425 жыл бұрын
@@alanivanov3915 Wrong lane and the furthest lane indeed, that's another huge red flag. She should have gotten more then the ticket she got. She should have left with extra as it's clear she didn't listen to the rules even a single bit... Well, I guess she didn't go down the lanes for the other side...

I'm applying to my colleges law school here pretty soon, as the woman's attorney I would have said "Your honor I motion to dismiss the case on the basis that the video is inconclusive evidence that my client intentionally ran the red light. Additionally she made an effort to stop her vehicle before entering the intersection as the light turned yellow she continued to pilot her vehicle to make the turn and only when the light was no longer in her field of view did it turn from yellow to red and then my client proceeded to make the turn, I don't believe my client was familiar with the area in which this footage was taken thus the confusion with being in the incorrect lane of travel. As the inspector stated there are no signs posted that prohibit making a right turn in that lane and the video evidence backs that up."
@Lhikan6343 жыл бұрын
"Also, this particular intersection is set up such that the intended right-turn lane has a turn with a yield and not with a full stop."

Oliver Oliveira How do you know where the sign was..... The judge was far to lenient there that was terrible driving she ran a red light in the wrong lane and then made an illegal turn. The arrow or the road clearly shows the direction of the lane 🙄
