There is something new and refreshing about Shintani's take on Dragon Ball. Yet something so classic and nostalgic about Akira Toriyama's original style. Both are great and while I am a bigger fan of Akira Toriyama, Shintani has hit the ground running with the Dragon Ball Super Broly movie, making Dragon Ball looking the best it ever has since Super's debut.

Vegeta goijg ssj is a prime example of senior older animators doing their own thing, classic old dbz style, not ome pne peice type childish bs. Goku vs broly was a shitty part of thr film because of it, vegeta vs broly was much better looking like a mix of cell saga and buu saga

I love the unique art style of shintani as also used in the broly movie The trick is No highlights only the base layer of the primary color with little shading with only 1 contrasting shade keeping drawing look clean and not plastic

I think that the Shintani style is more energetic and alive so it's better for animating but while standing still, Toriyama's style is far superior
