(I had no WiFi yesterday until late late in the day, figured I might as well post it the next morning. Thank you for being patient! Hope you enjoy the video!)
Its that time again! Time to start a new Bullet Journal! And of course, I am drawing on top of it. I really wanted to redeem myself from last year. That one has had me cringing every single day in a way I'd hoped i would get over but, gosh'dernuht I just never did. With a chip on my shoulder, I'm tackling my new one, here goes!!!

I could see this character practicing her ballet while studying. Having books balanced on both her head and the tip of one of her ballet shoes. With a doughnut or waffle stuck in her mouth as she searches for something or even continues reading a different book.

i would just like to mention that balancing a book on the tip of your ballet shoe (which is SOFT) is practically impossible and i am not going to try that and that u mean a pointe shoe because i get triggered about ballet related topics but having books everywhere while eating is literally me lol

The one from last year really wasn’t so bad - the hair looks a little darker and there is more white in general but it doesn’t stand out as very different to the others, at least not to me and you can easily see they are a series. Don’t be so hard on yourself!

That tangent was really important for those of us who paint in poverty and draw in destitution. I can't afford to ball on a budget. But knowing that it makes more sense to get the markers new is extremely helpful.

If you listen carefully though, she said the cost of THREE brush nibs is the cost of one marker. And she is able to bring a marker back to life. So she would have to compare the cost of how much she saved per marker, if those are the colors she actually uses, how often she really has to replace the nibs. Sometimes just purchasing 2-4 colors that you personally would use is more cost effective than a whole set of 12 used from someone that abused them but you only use 3 of those colors that you then have to replace the nibs and refill them.

Don't ask me why but when I saw this character, I imagined this whole storyline where she was a super smart history major who used her knowledge of her hometown's history to solve local historical mysteries connected to the supernatural, with thebhelp of her college friends. As an adult, she's working at the archives, and she's sneaking on her boss's back to continue her private research. Maybe her best friend is a medium and they use their respective talents to conduct investigations together. Honestly I'd read that as a webcomic lmao.

I assume you only have that distortion issue because you have to film what your drawing but I do recommend getting a sketchbook stand (I use an iPad stand) to keep it at a good angle

I've started bullet journaling recently because school started last week. But now I don't have much time to make art 'cause us Filipino students spend 10 hours in school a day (7:30am - 5:00pm(45 minute lunch break)) and often get tired in the night. Any tips??

I'd recommend if you are tired, that you sleep. Thats your body telling you to relax. You'd be suprised what stringing a few good early sleep nights can do for your productivity. Otherwise, maybe schedule 20min of sketching time when you get home. Don't push yourself to over do it. Its meant to be fun. 💜

part of me wonders if you would work better for the Discbound "Planners" (only in quotes because most people use them for Planners, but I've seen people use them for other things. You can actually customize it however you want and you can get the clear thing on the front but get your Tan cover for the aethetic. Also you can get any number of papers to test out for Bullet Journaling and Grid paper, as well as lined paper. Happy planners are the most expensive but Stables and Office Depot have their versions as well. Mom and I got our first Discbound at Five and Below actually, but we're learning that they are a bit of a hit or miss. And apparently you can also get some at the Doller Tree? but We have *yet* found them in our stores, but our area sucks for that. Oh another perk is that they act like Spiral bound books just easier to rearrange and add if you so desire.

The name “bullet journal” actually comes from the creator, Ryder Carroll, who invented a system of bullet lists and organizing information in a notebook. The paper is just a dot grid notebook, as the name “bullet journal” actually refers to the unique style of journaling used regardless of paper type!

I love watching you draw on the cover. I love it because it makes them unique. These videos are so relaxing begins going to 🛌 since I work overnight. I actually a tendency to do a sketch separately and use transfer paper once I'm satisfied. 😁 Never drew on the front since most of my Sketchbooks have a picture on the front! 😅
