Same dude, every non artist in my life inadvertently shames me for it lol. Like they'll be very obviously less impressed with my work if I mention references so it killed my enthusiasm because I felt like it was cheating... but I'm working on fixing my attitude towards a very normal tool

I think it does. There’s a difference between “Skill” and “Talent” This is a skilled artist, gaining ability through repetition and countless hours of work. Talent, you’re just born with it. Hard work beats talent 100% of the time.

@@downtownnikkai think people confuse talent as something youre born with rather than something you have a knack for, if youre born with the ability to visualize shapes, colors, and lines together it still takes a ton of work and practice to hone that into anything worthwhile, idk i just think its unhealthy to suggest that anybody would be able to become a good artist without thousands of pages of dogshit ykwim

This is what AI can never replicate. And this is why I love sketches or drawings on the rawest forms, created straight from the tips of an artist's fingers. They are the images of your soul, formed into thoughts of what you believe in. There is no tier of ratings that can judge this masterpiece as there is nothing wrong about what you believe in, and as one of the lucky (if late) witness, I love your art as it is. Thank you for this short clip.
