Watch the eighteenth class from artist Elizabeth Whelan’s ‘ANOTHER Summer of Drawing’ series. In this class, Elizabeth recaps the major steps of drawing, and introduces the role of memory and imagination in concept work. She guides you through two exercise sessions designed to help you develop drawing ideas regardless of your familiarity with the subject matter. She also touches on Norman Rockwell's reference material and the work of Rene Magritte.
Through the 19 classes of ANOTHER Summer of Drawing, Elizabeth explores ways to interpret the concept of 'Home'. This class uses a garden gnome, a snow scene, a model boat, and a window, as subject matter for the exercises.
