I'd love to hear Peter narrate himself doing a task that had definite steps with a significant outcome.....like defusing a bomb. "Well, you could cut the blue wire first. But I really like this green wire, too. Isn't it pretty? Hello green wire! Sometimes it just comes down to how you feel about the wire. Let's give this blue guy a little snip...."

You just made me realize that I used to do that, sometimes at school, as a kid. Just putting on paper a bunch of lines, until it looked like something, then building in that direction, getting sometimes an ephemeral happy accident that lasted just so long before a naive line came to break it all. Or sometimes ending up in a glorious thing coming out of my imagination that I could never have pictured in my brain and skillfully put on paper directly if I ever wanted.
