Artisto watercolor pencils are great inexpensive choice for those who want to test and see if they would like to work with this medium. The color choices are a bit limited and maybe not as vivid as expensive brands, but good enough for simple coloring; besides new colors can be created by blending pigments on the textured palette. They are nice and soft but sturdy; easy to sharpen and even the long point doesn't break.

What I've learned from this exercise is that using water brush makes is quite challenging for precise strokes when painting very thin petals. It would be much better to use watercolor paint with a good quality brush. But my goal is to learn and get used to watercolor pencils and figure out the best way of dealing with the challenges that come to a novice like me. I hope it will be helpful for you to watch my mistakes. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

The original has a lot of details but you got a good drawing. And it is very attractive the crown of red-orange-yellow flowers. 🙂
