This is easily one of if not the best display of bringing out the potential in a cultural architecture style I have ever seen in this game. Great location, beautiful and practical design, spacious without being over-dimensioned. Seems like I could learn a few things.

This was a very nicely done build. Gorgeous, spacious without being gargantuan, and the blending of the building pieces worked rather well. I must admit I had my doubts when I first saw the Arena pieces being laid out. However, when the stable items were added, it helped to blend, and I realized that would be the stables and thought potentially a work space, where less valuable materials (from a roleplay perspective) would naturally be used. The roofing was interesting without being overly complicated and the subtle touch of the fencing pieces in appropriate places allowed for some rather pleasing accenting. I liked how the courtyard was created with the pillars and foundations being placed in a large arch. As always when I watch building videos, I see things I would try to do differently. When I list them, they are never meant as criticism, but how I would change things for personal preference. With that being said, for this build I would attempt to make access to those lovely balconies (including the one above the courtyard) by adding in doors, stairs, or at the very least, ladders and hatches. Likewise, I saw a few places- for example under the long rooves- where adding a door/hatch with a ladder or stairs would have allowed access to valuable storage space. Granted, this would have to be cleverly done to avoid destroying the aesthetic in the room below, which in all honesty might not be possible. Another change I would make would be to shift the building slighting to align the doorway with the natural pathway created by the sandy break in the grass. My absolute favorite aspect was the amazing bridge! I loved how the 'stepping' technique was employed to create a bridge that 'sloped.' Likewise, the arches underneath provided both great aesthetic value and added realism. Well done! Finally, a question. I saw some interesting decorative pieces I did not recognize (such as a lovely chest.) Did you make use of any mods and if so, which mods were utilized? (Some of the items I saw might have been part of the newer crafting stations. As an RPer, I do not tend to use anything other than what is absolutely necessary.)
@DrB0483 жыл бұрын
No mods were used in anything for this video. The chests I think you are referring too are the eldarium chests or something like that.

I would really like to know why the base foundations are being surrounded with fence foundation. What does it change? Doesn't seem to alter what I can build. Maybe I lack prior knowledge of building LOL
@DrB0482 жыл бұрын
The main reason is that if you put walls on top of foundations their is a small overhang. If you add fence foundations, it eliminates that small overhang and makes everything flush with each other.
