Thank you for this video. I’ve had this tool for several years but always forget how to use it 🤣 For those of us that love dirt biking but only do it 5-10 times per year, never underestimate our lack of knowledge.

What I do to get it a little more accurate is have something handy to reach back and push the metal thingy back down against the plastic housing after I’ve given a few good bounces and got into riding position.

I’ve got the same tool, makes setting sag easy and convenient. Used to set it without gear at about 95mm and assume gear would bump it up to the 105-ish range. Tried setting sag in full gear for the first time and it come in at 120-ish mm. Didn’t realize how heavy my gear is, with pack it’s almost 30lbs extra! Had to add three turns of preload.

Slacker tool by Mototool is the digital one. I have had the slacker tool since 2018, it works really nice giving you static sag and rider sag. They are right around 180.00 bucks, pricey but nice. Great vid Morgan, thank you

Sag changes so much based on how you stand on bike..when was last time you ate, where you stand sit etc.. you are better off looking at spring rate for your weight.. setting static sag at 35, do an initial sag "rough "check to make sure you are indeed on correct spring and tweak from there based on feel and testing in the field.. Trying to get sag within a mm in the shop is pure black magic and is just about worthless. This is after spending over an hour just now trying to get my sag perfect with drc. 😂

You already know that you get about 8mm more with full gear on that bike?

Just checked static. It’s at 4 inches-101mm So I should already add more preload to spring yes ??
