After reading the instructions for the drc sag tool. They had this set up improperly on the bike. The main body should be on the engine sode of the swing arm. Not hanging off the swing arm. I tried it both ways and it will give you different measurements. 😅

The gold marker is going to measure the 'bounce' you want it to measure the settle, what did I miss?

I agree. I think it's good to bounce if you are getting the measurement afterwards but this doesn't reset, like the Motool Slacker. It measures the lowest point. I think one should get on the bike as softly as possible, if they are going to use this product.

This is exactly what I thought, I imagine the only way to get an accurate rider sag would be to bounce and then use a stick or something to slide the market down the string and then very gently get off the bike. Would also need to be gently leaning against a wall on your right side. Not ideal but will do the trick if enough care is taken, when I do this I'll do it at least 3 times to make sure there is little variation in the measurements, standard scientific process.

This looks great, but is there a one person option for bikes that have a solid axel or is there a way to use this tool on a solid axle?

Once the gold marker sets and you take the measurement. Is that where you raise or lower the shock spring? And do you crank it down till the gold bell is sitting at the bottom?

Think about it. If you did this and then rechecked it, you would keep lowering the rear end.

Should you check the sag every ride or is it a one time only and done?

I wouldn't worry about checking it every time you ride, but I would definitely recommend checking it every few rides. - Chase

Why? what would change in your suspension that would require a check that often unless your weight or you changed the shock or spring.

I read these were not very friendly for KTM's and would not clamp down on the rear axle/swingarm well. Have you guys happened to confirm or debunk that statement?

Not sure, Frankie. I don't have a KTM here to check. But with the way it clamps to the rear axle, I could see how it might not work that great on certain bikes. - Chase

@@Frank-i-e I would just check it every 5-6 rides. Honestly, most riders never check their sag after setting it the first time and I don't know why. It's easy to do and it's important to have it set correctly.

Don't bounce. Thays going to make your sag measurement larger than what it truly is. Youll ne measure the bounce. Only bounce if you have someone to oush the gold.marker back in place after you've bounced.
