Always thought Baba yaga was the boogyman (John wick reference),but no apparently baba yaga is part of the Slavic folklore just like in this story who(according to what I found) kidnaps and maybe eat children,offers guidance sometimes,sometimes against her will help the protagonist in getting what they want from her and in some cases People look for her for wisdom oh and she guide lost souls (google search)
