I'm an elder millennial. Watching non-cable tv late into weekend nights by myself around 1999 - 2001 in middle school is itched into my memory. Just the right age for all of it to be titillating, eg, SNL, Mad TV, COPS, The-X-Files, the 90s version of The Outer Limits, weird dating shows after certain hours, etc. Naturally this commercial came on regularly during those tv binges.
@PumpkinPails Жыл бұрын
I think you and I would have been best friends. I loved all those shows, and staying up late on the weekends binging them without a care in the world was my happy place.
@doeeyes2 Жыл бұрын
Saturday night line up was Americas Most Wanted, Cops, Mad T/SNL (flip back and forth), Married With Children, Howard Stern Show. All shows i had no business watching. During the weeknights it was Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, Party of Five and Jerry Springer. And of course after school was Full House, Saved by the Bell, Family Matters, Fresh Prince and Roseanne. And if you were really lucky and got to stay home from school it was all the trashy talk shows likes Sally Jesse Rapael, Geraldo, Montel Williams, and then of course The Price is Right. Then all the boring Soap Operas came on.

This was a commercial the guys I grew up with knew by heart. And it is still burned into my head 20 years after the fact, too. People that would come over to our house, and this ad would come on, couldn't stop laughing, because we would sing along with it word-by-word. I'm a little rusty now, but boy! What a flood of nostalgia.
