I'm 55 now and when I was around 25 I switched from showering in the morning to showering at night. I think mostly because I wanted to sleep longer in the morning and also to stop blow drying my hair and to let it dry naturally. I agree with you that an evening shower is something that relaxes me and gets me ready to sleep and even if I get home at 3am, I'm jumping in the shower.

I could go either way. I was a night showerer for years and now I shower every morning. The only trouble is I have the kind of hair that takes 3-4 hours to dry. I’m not very skilled with the blow dryer too, so it’s tricky lol. But the nice thing is I don’t have to plan my evenings around showering, like I used to do. I get it out of the way first thing.

Hearing about the Tik Tok acne DIY just made me want to cry. I remember having cystic acne as a teenager and being desperate for something that worked. I tried stuff like this - and those were the days before social media. Thank goodness my mom eventually discovered a good dermatologist through my aunt’s recommendation.

I have Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder, so mornings are NOT my friend. I like evening showers. I have time, it helps me wind down and get on the glidepath to bed, and I don't have to get "ready" after. Just straight to PJs. I also hate the feeling of getting all fresh and clean and immediately putting gunk on my face and in my hair. I like to keep the sheets fresh as long as possible, too. My husband likes to shower before work, but I hate that he comes to bed not showered. But I totally get that he doesn't want to shower at 9 pm and again at 7 am! I was at Marshalls yesterday for the first time in months. Now I feel like I have to go back!

25:11 Dr Dray: The problem with dipping makeup brushes *completely* in a liquid solution is that it affect and degrade the adhesives where the bristles go into the handle. There are many methods by which to cleanse and sanitize the bristles that do not require immersing that part of the brush into liquid solution. It's much better for the integrity of the brush, the bristles (they dry faster), and your pocketbook. Look up what makeup artists do to sanitize their brushes.

Since Dial is a detergent it would act as a surfactant and essentially break down the vitamin e oil anyway so it’s a total waste. That’s like people making natural cleaners by mixing baking soda and vinegar in a spray bottle - they neutralize each other so any cleaning power they could provide is lost. They also do Castile soap and vinegar - the vinegar desaponifies the soap so you end up with a mess. You have to understand chemistry first to do these things.

The reason it makes you want to hop back in bed is because you’ve made it part of your bedtime routine. Hey dr dray. I bought a flocked tree such a mess I returned it the next day lol. My pets wanted to lick up the flock too so I had to keep them away. Such a nightmare to deal with lol. Also the monday shampoo really dried out my hair. I have super curly dry hair as is and it did nothing for me. I use the leftover monday shampoo to clean my hair brushes once a week though. My hair brushes get messy as I have long hair and alopecia plus I use a fair bit of hair products and dont have the hair type to be able to wash it daily.

iHerb is really great online shop, I agree 100%. Their customer service is great - never had an issue. Their standard prices are much cheaper than on Yesstyle for example. The nhs recommends using fluoride mouth washes/rinses at a completely different time of the day. As an example, they suggest rinsing your mouth with one after lunch as opposed to after brushing your teeth.

Jude Izzabee, The same info resurfaces every few year and it is true that there are candles that are not as safe as others. It all depends on what the candle is made of, how well ventilated your space is, and for instance if you have houseplants or pets. Certain candle scents are dangerous and toxic for dogs and cats regardless of what the candle is made of, look them up. Look up articles using "Are candles toxic?" Houseplants clean the air. There are plenty of articles out there where experts express their thoughts on it. In then end you have to decide for yourself what you think is ok.

They smell great but are messy with all the falling needles and a fire hazard if you don't water it regularly. Omigosh! I'm not a big shopper to begin with. BUT I did go to Marshalls recently due to Dr. Dray. What a nightmare! I had forgotten how awful my Marshall's is! Widely understaffed and overcrowded. Even on weekdays. Had to return an item I purchased, and I was in line for over 20 minutes. The concept is great. I just think my time is more valuable than the money I can save. Kind of makes me sad.

I’m totally with you about putting up the tree(s) early. We have a pretty tall and full tree, which I can’t set up without my husband’s help. In the last few years, we have been putting it up after Thanksgiving. But by the time we are ready to work on it together, it’s a week or two into December. And it’s enough work that we don’t try to decorate it the same day we put it up, so then it’s another week before we decorate it, and then it’s Christmas! We keep it up through January, sometimes even February, because we want to enjoy it! But this year my plan is to put it up before Thanksgiving. Then it’ll be decorated and everything within the first week of December. That’s my plan anyway 🤞🏻🎄

Thank you! I was telling my DIL the other night that I cannot shower in the morning for the reason you stated. She looked at me like I have two heads! LOL! Shower length? After being diagnosed w/rosacea about a year and a half ago, I was able to decrease my shower time to 3 to 5 minutes (when I don't shave). Lowered the water temps, too. If I'm out late, I'm okay skipping the shower at night. I just do my face routine.

Hey Dr Dray! Your oral hygiene revelation reminds me to ask you whether you've ever come across the issue of oral skin sloughing caused by toothpaste. There are very few toothpastes I am able to use that do not cause this problem, and just when I think I've found a good one, they either discontinue it or change the ingredients! My flocked tree looks like a real tree in forest and we love it. I keep it up all year long, I just don't turn the lights on and I remove the ornaments. I did have to cut off and remove the incandescent string of lights when it did go out eventually and I got some wire string LED lights on amazon that I replaced them with that I can use with a remote and change the settings and we love it.

I use my leftover coffee beans to absorb odors in the refrigerator. It works! Just put them in a small dish, place in refrigerator, and it keeps your fridge smelling fresh.

champagnenroses, bring the pump with you to your shower, when the water is hot, hold the end of the pump up under the hot running water. Or you can soak the pump in hot water and pump it under water, this clears out thickened product your toothpick doesn't get to.

Have you done a video discussing fish pedicures? i knew that this was "a "thing", but recently saw a promo for a competition to win a holiday in a country that still allows this. I would like your take Dr Dray. From what I believe it's not too hygienic, because they wash the foot tubs, but not the (starving) fish after each client. 👱‍♀️❤

Hey, Dr. Dray, I've seen some wonky looking stuff on youtube about creams that purport to restore facial fat. Two brands are: Adipeau's Active Face Cream and Maysama ( a rooibos tea based formulation). They throw around dubious 'studies' to hock their creams. Can you shed light on this and whether or not a topical application of Anything has the ability to restore facial fat? The hypodermis, according to my limited understanding, is below the dermis and most products don't even make it past the epidermis. Even if Something did make it all the way down to the fat layer, it seems unlikely that anything would have the ability to restore facial fat, especially due to aging? Thanks.

I admit I leave my tree up until it’s a fire hazard😊! For me Christmas would not be complete without the fragrance of a live tree.

I didn't think they would have a need for the cosy pj's where you are in the uk by Christmas and January the temperature falls to minus temperatures and everybody has those pj's xx
