The Wishtrend mandelic acid is unmatched! It tingles the first couple of times I used it but after that it stopped tingling! It is so hydrating while removing all my flaky skin, and never irritated my sensitive skin once!! It will literally leave your skin GLOWING!!!!! 🙌🏻 great for people who want glowy glass skin

Mandelic acid is the only AHA leave-on product that my skin can tolerate. I personally love the Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water. That one contains a lot of beneficial ingredients for the skin, and it's cheap and comes in a big bottle. Even the travel size lasts me for 3+ months. It was so effective at treating whiteheads and regulating sebum production on my skin. It helped a bit with hyperpigmentation and made sunscreen application feel a lot smoother. I currently don't use any AHA or BHA products as i already use another actives that work better on my skin, but it'll remain as one of the products that i love and will always recommend to people. Thanks for the video and all the information that you never fail to give us, and thanks for including one of my favorite products!

Geek and gorgeous do a 1% salicylic acid & 3 -6% (I can’t remember) mandelic water serum. I haven’t tried it myself but am considering as I find 2% BHA quite harsh. Thanks for sharing the neutralyze moisturiser, it can be bought in the UK for £21 imported from the USA which is fab. All in one products are rare & It, like G & G, contains sarcosine for oil control. Great to see these companies trying to address the many layers of acne / oily skin

Serious question - has anyone with GENUINELY sensitive skin used the Wishtrend Mandelic Acid and enjoyed it and also seen results? I have very dry sensitive skin with an easily compromised barrier and rosacea. that toner stung like crazy the entire time I used it, took me months to get through it as a result, and I never saw any change to my skin tone from it. i think my skin doesn't like mandelic acid or maybe it's just that product? I've spoken to other skincare enthusiasts online who had similar experiences and frankly confused why this product gets recommended by EVERY influencer. any idea why it stings so much? not even glycolic acid or lactic acid stings my face that badly and those actually deliver perceivable-to-the-naked-eye results.

I just started using Hyram's mandelic acid serum, alternating at night with adapalene. It is nice and gentle compared to even the Good Molecules exfoliating treatment, and my sensitive skin appreciates it. I was reading an listicle on skincare products to avoid on "Mind Your Dollars," and it was quite jarring to see plenty of perfectly safe products listed because they have parabens and/or retinol. I had no idea the EWG has a strong stance against retinol. Just one more bit of evidence to show their entire platform is BS.

Have you actually tried it as is and it was irritating for you? Cause generally I don't believe people need that, that is the most gentle acid they have, I would go as far as to say one could use it daily with no issue. On their website it says it's not water free but is oil free so you can in fact use water if you choose to.

A totally unrelated question - apologies for asking on this subject/thread. Have you encountered a lot of skin rashes which have been triggered by Covid/Long Covid (LC)? The last year I have endured and been trying to control various rashes all over my body - it’s like a patchwork quilt! 😉😉. I never realised here were so many different rashes! After my bath, I quite literally sit on my bed with tubes of various ointments (hydrocortisone etc) for the different types of rashes and work my way through! Covid (apart from the breathing issues, heart problems, blood clots etc) really has been quite challenging, I’ve even had to flash my bum and boobs to my Doctor, so he knew which type of rash was there and the treatment! No dignity!! 😳🤗😉 lol All my life, I have only ever used soap (Badedas gel in my bath) and water - I’ve never applied any cleansers, toners or moisturisers etc. So this has really been a shock to my old system! 😉 All joking aside, after a year I’m frightfully tired of it all. Of course, I realise it doesn’t help that I know I’ve still quite a long haul to go with LC. As much as my Doctor has been very proactive, I do wonder if a Dermatologist would be better placed to assist me, with this particular aspect or if a holistic approach by a General Practitioner is better. I appreciate you cannot give specific advice (diagnosis & prognosis) regarding a case in which you’re not involved. So merely wondering if you, as a Dermatologist are referred LC cases? At least one good thing from LC - I found your channel. I thoroughly enjoy your “chats”. Certainly I now have a better idea how to treat the wrinkles around my eyes, albeit I do get confused whether retinol or hyaluronic acid is better (blame Covid Fog! lol) 🤗 Thank you! Ps…. I know you love strong coffee, but have you ever tried Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee? Born and brought up in Kenya 🇰🇪 (and proud of my dual nationality), you’d think I’d promote their Arabica coffee! lol 🤗😂. Quite a few family friends had coffee farms in Kenya and one was at the foothills of Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. I continue to look forward to your inspiring videos. Best wishes.

Hi Malaika, I'm sorry that you had Covid-19 and are are now having LC skin problems. You still have your sense of humour at least🤣 As Dr Dray has so many followers, she can't answer everyone's questions in the "comments", even though she would love to. If you need an immediate answer (and can't get to a doctor), ask Mo from KZbin's "Mo's Skin Lab". He is a Pharmacist & Toxicologist who does videos on skincare, for which he has a particular passion for. Mo usually replies within 24 hours. He now also does a video/live stream weekly; answering viewers questions...especially if they are more indepth. Mo lives in Milan (Italy) and is also a Dr. Dray devotee! You can't keep on using hydrocortisone cream, so Mo will be able to give you some alternatives. As you are such an engaging writer, I think it would be a good idea to diary your struggles and sucesses through your Covid-19/LC journey...you could get it published? Turn it into a positive! Best wishes from Australia. 👱‍♀️❤

Thanks Dr Dray! I'm so glad this came up I've been on Google for a long time the last few days but unfortunately have not been successful in finding the answer to my question. So, I don't use any form of retinol but I love the wishtrend mandelic acid and recently bought tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate and azelaic acid. The issue I'm having is I would like to use the Vit C morning and night but I'm afraid which to use and when! Can you help? As always, I use sunscreen and I'm subscribed! Thanks!

I'm not Dr. Dray but I can tell you that you can use all three of them together and either day or night. They don't have any relative contraindications that prevent them from being used together with the only consideration being your own skin's tolerance.

Great timing! I bought the Wishtrend in a recent Iherb haul. Having mature, dry sensitive skin, I am going slow this week with it. Question, since I use Avene retrinal at night, I am using in the morning; can I use it first with my skinceuticals vit C ( yes, I know 😬!) applied after? Also, in my haul I got the CosRx cica toner but was going to wait to introduce… when I do, could I use before the Wishtrend or should I use on alternate days? Your advice would be so welcome! I had used Dr. Perricone for 25 yrs as my core until last year when he increased the crazy citrus oils to the point of skin barrier freak out, which I healed starting from square one with La Roche Posay and Avene products and introducing actives over the course of the last 10 mos. very judiciously….. thank you for all you do!

For anyone with sensitive skin who is currently using Adapalene, what would be the best product to incorporate one more active? PHA, Azelaic acid, SA, mandelic or vitamin C? How to know which is best for me? My issues are mild rosacea, mature skin texture and I would like to lighten sun spots and brighten dull skin. I’m only 3 months in to Differin, 4x a week. I’m seeing cell turnover on my chin but that’s it, and not much brightening so far. Maybe it’s too early?

Azelaic acid is your best bet! I have a sensitive skin, and i used to incorporate both Adapalene and prescription-strength Azelaic Acid into my routine before i switched to 0.05% Tretinoin a few months ago - i'm still using Azelaic Acid, by the way. It's a very gentle, yet effective ingredient for treating a lot of skin concerns - acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, etc. Incorporating AHAs and BHAs into your routine when you already use a Retinoid is quite a challenge for people with sensitive skin, unless they come in a cleanser form. Pure Vitamin C can also be irritating for sensitive skin. PHA is another gentle ingredient that you can incorporate into your routine once your skin tolerates Adapalene really well - it's best to use them at a different time to avoid any irritation. Hope this helps!
