I dont know but microdermabrasion saved my life. i had fungal acne on my face and back. After just 2 sessions it totally went away. And my pores reduced amazingly. My scars faded eventually and also my complexion got lighter. And my face glows.

Dr. Andrea, Thank you for this video. I've had microdermabrasion in the past and I was pleased with the results. It was done in conjunction with PCA fruit acid peels at a medispa. I hope you have had a great week! I certainly have with all the snow where I am. I have some milia on my cheeks. I used to be obsessed with getting microdermabrasion, as I wanted a quick fix to my post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. I asked my mom about getting the treatment and she said she rarely recommends microdermabrasion. I also began to think about it and realized that being a young teen, I was wayyyyy to young to be blasting the top layer of my skin off. By using my salicylic acid cleanser and gentle exfoliation of over time, I have reduced my milia so much! Thanks for yet another informative video, Dr. Dray. Caleb :)

Hi Lee, I started using several Timeless skincare products. Vitamin C,E F Acid. Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrating Eye Cream with H Acid and Matrixyl. Coenzyme Q10 Serum. Cacay Oil. Good Genes and Luna Oil. I just recently started using Squalane from Timeless. The game changer also I think was two years ago I started using a Clarisonic. I use the Sensitive Brush. I know some people don't care for it. But I love it. I think it cleans my pores really good. I use Clinique liquids soap to clean face with brush. Hope this helps. I also think not wearing so much making the last two years has helped. I had to quit work due to health issues. So if I am home I just do my skin care and moisturizer. Have a good Thursday. Good luck. Oh also for Christmas I got a Neutrogenia Micro Dermabrasion on the recommendation of Nathalie the Beauty Diva. I have used it three times. I am loving it. I am using it once a week. It is making my skin so soft. It does make it dry. Need lots of moisturizer. 😊

Sensitive skin. Rosacea sufferer. I had IPL last week for my ocular rosacea, the dread meibomian gland extrusion, and my skin looks and feels quite nice now . Bonus!! You have saved me an extraordinary amount of moolah by virtue of paring down expensive products to A) Cetaphil face wash, Cerave, Amlactan. (OK, Finacea is not bargain basement but worth every darn farthing), Elta tinted sunscreen per your suggestion. Zinc oxide (for diaper rash) on my hands: very cheap and nearly matches my skin tone (!) Preach it!

I have adult acne (not inflammed) and surface level pigmentation (post breakout) and Microderm does wonders for my skin! I am in my late 30s and it really helps keep my skin happy. I get it done about every 7 weeks. My breakouts, milia, and trapped oil gland are kept at bay this way. Now that aging is starting to kick in I may try more casual peels. I am wondering has anyone tried the AHA peel by the ordinary? I would like to try it but I'd need guidance on when to do it between microderm. How many weeks between treatments so as not to anger my skin..anyone?

I always went to the dermatologist and asked about procedures like this and they just referred me to their cosmetic procedures department, never explained what would be good for my skin, just gave me pills. I have since found an excellent private skin clinic who is helping my skin improve more so than my dermatologists did. Glad to know microdermabrasion is great for millia, I am prone to those. I just seen a video of a microdermabrasion Im in school for esthetics so Im currently learning these procedures I was curious because the video I seen she performed a first cleanse, exfoliated with what looked like an enzyme based product (Not quite positive) but then she did the microdermabrasion then extractions then applied her serums, toner, and moisturizer. Since you say microdermabrasion is a form of exfoliation was it necessary that she exfoliated twice in that case? wouldnt all those steps be too harsh for the skin? Thank You for sharing your skin wisdom !!

I wish you were my dermatologist. My dermatologist rushes every appointment with me.... LOL :(

dermatology appointments are very limited to a short, period...not the dermatologist's choice , sadly....a youtube video is not a fair comparison

Hi Dr Dray. Hope you are safe and warm after this very cold weather in Houston. I'm very interested in this topic. Thank you for addressing it. Looking forward to the chemical peel video too! And would you address the different types of fillers for skin sagging and wrinkles? I've heard about gold fillers which people say has less side effects than Botox etc. thank you!

If you have rosacia..try dermablading but try dermapro specifically..they use a method that does not irritate the skin..and leaves it glowing!

Your videos are such a highlight of my day. I can’t wait to get settled in and watch you teach. Quick question. What are your thoughts on toners? I’m trying to watch each and every video so if I’ve missed it, could you please direct me? My mother was an esthetician and believed strongly in toning ( “freshening” as she called it). Thank you.
