Thank you again Dr. Dray. I really appreciate the background information first. I have used Beauty of Joseon alpha arbutin and enjoyed it. I now use Tropicals Faded cream that seems to have everything under the sun in it lol It's been great on my post inflammatory hyperpigmentation on my face, but hasn't done much for my knees or underarms. Is there anything to help with those areas?

Hello Dr. Dray, Thank you for sharing this valuable information, very helpful. I'm dealing with pigmentation from acne, and Maelove is quite expensive in my country. Could you recommend any alternative products for pigmentation that are more budget-friendly (same with Maelove formulation)? Additionally, I'm interested in your insights on Eucerin Dual Serum, Eucerin Anti-Pigment Skin Perfecting Serum, and EUCERIN DermoPurifyer Post-Acne Marks Protection. If possible, could you consider making a video reviewing these products? Your expertise is greatly appreciated.

It really is a wonderful ingredient nonetheless both with benefits and risks of course as with everything that there is out there 😅😊❤. Formulation is the grand key because the ingredient list is like a chain each link is connected to another and goes on till the overall synergy delivers the benefit/results it boasts itself it does😊. Another is the situation if we are in a flare then it's a no-no until the flare inflammation is completely under control. Thanks for the ingredient info Doctor and the info about the condition of hyper pigmentation and the ingredients treating slightly 😊❤.

Im fairly sure at this point, my spots wont fade without dermatological intervention. BUT, I'm very happy I use Alpha Arbutin and a good Vit C serum under spf, and I'm in a good place with my skintone. No new spots, and I'm quite outdoorsy, so that's a huge win! And i stopped the hyperpigmentation process in time on my hands so there are spots but only very faintly in one little area. I also use my serums on my hands and carry spf 50 instead of hand lotion all year (that dollar tree sun basics spf is fantastic, i bought a year's worth last summer, and you def do sun protection differently when it's that affordable, also is a delightful formula). Random reapplication, whenever i think of it, on the hands seems to work pretty well.

Why the serum is so green? Arbutin is in powder form and is odorless and colorless. I liked your description on arbutin comparison to hydroquinone. Great explanation. Arbutin for most people is non-irritating. It’s better to be included in anti-aging cream along with other active ingredients and used at night. Hydroquinone is a famous ingredient as Michael Jackson also used. And both of them have been around for decades. Certain herbs like heath is high in arbutin and it can be derived naturally.

I understand from your videos no, and I’ve found a lot of great face creams for a fraction of what I use to pay, BUT, I haven’t been able to find a serum like the Estée Lauder perfectionist, would you talk about those ingredients? What are they and how can I imitate for a fraction of the price? the bottle is super expensive, they have multiple lines there’s one with vitamin C I believe and one perfectionist spot corrector? Use a good retinol. ( CeraVe- in the small bluish green/ pump. ) Is excellent..... But, keep yur face moisturized... ( Ponds- is good.) You don't have to break your wallet...... 😊 She is right on the 💰........ Very good information dr. Dray. 😊

Here are some with alpha arbutin and other tyrosinase inhibitors that are less expensive: Peace Out (the hydrocolloid patches) has a dark spot serum with alpha arbutin for $29. There's JJ Labs Skin Brightening and Anti-Aging serum for $19. A UK option is beautybay skinhit hyperpigmentation serum w/tranexamic acid and alpha arbutin for around $6.

I decided to break up with all my lotions, potions, and creams! With the $$$ I saved, I had a laser procedure at my derm's office. When my face finished peeling, it had gotten rid of my dark spots. One week down time. Cost about $1200.

@SS-dd7ck The dual fraxel laser uses two lasers, the 1927 and the 1550. It targets two kinds of dark spots: brown age spots and the red scaly spots known as Actinic Keratosis. Dual fraxel is expensive but it actually works! My skin has not been this clear since I was 30.

I believe in her review of this she said to just be aware that depending on what other serums you use it with it, it can lead to pilling.
