@neferazure Жыл бұрын
yeah well it's impressive but consider that he was doing this in his own territory, in his own timezone that he was already used to. Chris had to do what he did after flying at a high altitude, at LEAST a 12-16hr flight, plus dealing with jetlag and other things that take a toll on your body when having to travel like that. The fact that he was performing at such a high level with all that in mind is arguably more impressive. I'd like to see O4ma travel to the U.S. and still perform under that kind of pressure with all of that working against him. That is definitely not easy being jetlagged and having to pretty much fight against your own body trying to fall asleep on you. Takes a particular level of dedication and focus. And KAC is only for a few days trip, so it's not like you truly have the proper amount of time for your body to adjust to the new timezone. That can take weeks or even months for your body to adjust to. I remember when I traveled to Europe and back, it took nearly 2 weeks for my body to readjust from the jetlag.

Are any of these players even on the same level as Chris? Cause I'm just thinking in terms of overall scores at the time of this post I'm making he's MFC'd like almost every song 16 and below other than a few and some above. I don't know all the WRs but in terms of overall "best" scores I don't see them coming close If so, in what way are they?
@wwpl83713 жыл бұрын
If you're talking about just overall singles scores, then no-one can compete with Chris -- save for maybe Fungah back in 2017-2018 when he was actually active. Fungah was probably the only other player in the world who could compete with Chris in terms of getting MFCs on 15s-16s during that time; but ever since Fungah's hiatus, Chris has gotten way too good. Dude has like double-digit MFCs on 17s and 18s, and the only other person in the world who's even gotten a 17 MFC is Brosoni who only got his Possession MFC extremely recently. I guess there's also Nate from Canada who fluked an MFC on Prey CSP 18, but that just seems like a fluke outlier run more than a real indicator of where his skill is truly at. However, if we're talking about tournament play, there's quite a few people who are capable of beating Chris on song-by-song EX (as opposed to cumulative EX) depending on the draw. Back when they were active, Matt Magdon and Fungah won tournaments in America over Chris pretty consistently. You see, as good as Chris's play is, I think his strength lies primarily in his ability to -- over many repeated plays -- hone in on a target and maintain laser-life focus in reaching that target. It seems to me that he's not as good as the others I mentioned at just playing a song on a whim and instantly performing well on it. It's like it takes time for him to get going. For KAC, whose format is most often based on cumulative EX over multiple songs, it's even more difficult to beat Chris because his timing is just too fucking good. In fact, it's so fucking good that he can miss twice the amount of arrows as his opponent and still win because his Marvelous count will just straight up make up for the difference in EX and then some. Your only shot is to pick the hardest, twistiest 18s and 19s and hope to God that Chris hasn't warmed up his footspeed and crossover ability yet. You can see this strategy work somewhat effectively with Hibiki, who managed to give Chris a run for his money on Over The Period CSP. This is essentially the strategy that Fefemz used to win all of his KACs over Chris.
