Everyone who talks shit about boxers, can't, won't, will not, refuse to lace up or run 5-6 miles, mitts for 2 hrs, heavy bags for 90 min, 1500 sit ups a day every day, no ejaculations , changing your diet, shaking your friends you grew up with. And most importantly, to walk to the ring with all that noise and to suppress that 10% of fear and bit down and FOCUS. Casuals can't discipline themselves enough to stop eating twinkies and drinking soda and energy drinks. 😢😂
@aidanfrance8134Ай бұрын
Casuals come off better, though, since they don't get brain damage to earn peanuts. Plus, how many boxers go broke? Boxing is a hard sport but it's not worth it for the average person.
@nduguhalisi1146Ай бұрын
@aidanfrance8134 I did it in the 80s but tge streets and virgina had me. It takes full discipline to do this shit. I bet none of the casuals or Haters can beat Shakur ass.

Man when Roy mentioned how he used to always fly back to Pensacola before heading to the Venue for his fight, I got chills. He said that before every fight, he wanted to see all his possessions, the thing he loved and the people who was gonna love him no matter what bc it may be the last time he could see it under normal circumstances. People dont appreciate fighters enough.

I’m going to start out saying I love all 3 of y’all guys. Roy Jones! We will talking about one of the best of all times. All I heard was y’all 3 the most. You had a question for the floor and y’all 3 keep the floor the entire time. Y’all need to have this Hall of Fame talent of a boxer back and give him the respect he deserves. Ask him questions. Berto and Ward talked the most. I want to see y’all boys win but make that 💩 right with Roy please.

These gentlemen were not only great boxers but extremely intelligent, compassionate, and dignified. As fans, we tend to dehumanize fighters as if they are vicious animals who live only for a blood sport. Yet hearing them speak their mind, you can tell it took a great deal of hard work and sacrifice to compete at the level they did. I admire them more now than I ever did.

Great subject about boxing, I haven't heard from actual boxers. As spectators we know about boxers getting hurt,but to actually hear about the pressures in the back of their minds about possibly getting hurt permanently, especially after they hear about another boxer dying. I always loved to watch good boxing matches,but now I have a better appreciation and understanding of the mentality a boxer must have to succeed and cope. Hats off to the champions and the losers.

It wasn’t until a little of us fighters started doing other things outside of boxing that we realized we were all feeling and dealing with those same issues. Dirrell sounds kinda slurred and I we’ve see him concussed. Berto as well. Roy we’ve all seen his low points. All these men have done it the hard way. Respect!
