I wouldn’t consider him a country artist more of a hip/hop-pop artist with country influence. His music has tons of traditional African and American pop influence. Dude is dope though and original!

Brother, I am a 50-year-old, Texas-born country fan living in Virginia since 1984. This man is a country artist. Full stop. Go listen to some of the other songs off his album, especially "East of the Massanutten" kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWabiIqar6mbpbs Just because he has cross-genre appeal, nobody should ever doubt his bona fides.
