Great video. Really does not need subtitles if you already understand the essentials of wheel building. And if you don't already understand the basics then a Rohloff build is definitely not the best place to start! 😉

Quiero esperar a hacer un viaje algo más largo para hablar del Rohloff, pero en los 400km que le habré hecho hasta ahora, me ha ido bien. La única pega que le he visto es que sin guantes, si sudas un poco, se te resbala el mando y cuesta mucho cambiar. Y lo que todo el mundo dice sobre los ruiditos que hace especialmente de las marchas 1 a 7

@@NievesRodriguez-cy8re Pues a decir verdad, en cuanto a pedaleo no hay mucha diferencia. En un uso normal de cicloturista ni te enteras. Tiene los inconvenientes que todo el mundo indica y que son: - Es menos eficiente que un cambio normal. Sobre todo en las marchas 6 y 7, donde se nota que hay más fricción interna y hace algo más de ruído. - Comparado con los cambios normales, con el Rohloff es más difícil cambiar de marcha mientras pedaleas con fuerza. Cosa que por otro lado, no se recomienda con los normales tampoco para evitar roturas o desgaste. Es lo único a lo que te tienes que acostumbrar sí o sí y que requiere cierta experiencia para acostumbrarse. -El cambio de aceite cada 5000km. Es un aceite especial, cosa que entiendo que te obliga a llevar cierta cantidad de reserva si haces un viaje muy largo

Hola me gustaría comprar un cambio de estos pero ya le pregunte a los Alemanes y ellos dicen que primero hay que tener un kit A12 para buje 12/148 es para specialized turbo levo comp, que me recomiendas?

Pues es obvio. Tienes que comprar el buje con el eje correspondiente para tu bici. Es decir, tienes que comprar el buje A12 con el adaptador correspondiente para el eje de tu bici. En este artículo lo explican: www.cyclemonkey.com/blog/tech-talk-rohloffs-through-axle-a12-hubs

Hi, thanks for this video, what spoke length do you use for that wheel (I have the same wheel, Andra 25C 559). The Spoke calculator gave me 231.58mm for the spoke length, but wanted to check first before ordering. Thanks.

I do not dream of riding a long flat road with 13.6% steps. Yuck. Maybe with a close step crankset.

That is something I have never understood. The most important for me is the gear range, not the steps across gears

Probably because you don’t do much flat road riding or climbs with a steady grade. For mtb, or, I’d be fine with a 9 speed if it had enough range. But for road riding, Its the equivalent of driving a car with a 3 speed automatic vs a 6 speed. The 3 speed will keep switching between 2nd and 3rd gear up long hills. The 6 speed will be happy to stay in 4th or 5th gear and get much better fuel economy. Large steps on flat or steady grades is just tiring on long rides.

Idiot. I also ride SA hubs, 33% steps. LOL. Who the hell goes exactly the same speed for hours?? Roads are not snooker tables. I have 20,500 miles with my Rohloff on a HEAVYWEIGHT. What happens with either is my natural cadence will adjust the SPEED, not the other way around. It gets easier and quieter every ride. I did 2 tours with mountains and flat. Actually, it was my 3x8 deFAILeurs that were most troublesome on uphills, they are all GONE forever. Then there's the fact that the medium speeds you most want have the WORST crosschain. F that. They also SUCK on a tour bike with hopeless lopsided spokes.
