I feel like there are only a few people who actually get it. So hopefully this clears things up. In five nights at freddys, there is a character called "purple guy" or William Afton. He is a serial killer who murders kids who go on to possess the animatronic characters. The living tombstone made a song about this called "it's been so long" about the mother of one of the kids who were murdered. In the song she says "it's been so long since I last have seen my son, lost to this monster, to the man behind the slaughter." For some reason "the man behind the slaughter" became a meme recently.
