Some people get annoyed when techno interrupts lore with humor, but rewatching when Dream was talking about Sapnap and stuff, I think it helps keep a serious story line but also makes it 10x more entertaining when he breaks the tension

Not only that, but humor in general makes hard topics easy to digest or cope with. So instead of sitting there and feeling horrible about the things that Dream has gone through or not saying anything and making it awkward, he makes jokes. Cause that's the only way Techno's character knows how to handle grim or depressing situations, even when it comes to himself. He even made a joke about being betrayed so often, it happens every Tuesday. That's a lot of trauma or trust broken, yet the only way he could really talk about it or mention it is through a joke. TL;DR: People are getting mad at Techno's character for coping with/digesting heavy topics by using humor and its fucking stupid.

I’m not much of a dream apologist, and Dream did some pretty bad stuff.
