I contacted GT and they stopped Making Fixies 5+ years ago. I have a GT GutterBall. Put new bearings, new tires, brake pads, new bottom bracket, Chain etc. Still riding it.

I really share the passion and enthusiasm for building up dream bikes like this with everything top of the notch. Did it myself aswell. But what if I told you that you can build up a fixed gear bike with the same excellent riding and handling quality for around 1K USD? Lots of underrated, rocksolid components on the market, the trick is to match them perfectly into the frameset, which can be a simple 6061 T6 aluminium set, by the way. And I do prefer a plain, down to business appearance, especially on dream builds.

Der Rahmen mit Disc Hinterrad und dann als "stilbruch" eine Riserbar feier ich schon sehr. Was wiegt der Hobel? Hab schon ein bisschen Angst das hier mal live zu sehen und mir dabei den Nacken zu verdrehen oder irgendwo gegen zufahren beim hinterher starren. Und der Schnitt ist auch auf dem Niveau vom Rad. Everything functions properly kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Nothing was damaged in the box aside from a decal on the fork. The decal was missing a piece of a corner but I ended up peeling them off anyways. Assembly is easy BUT make sure you tune up the derailleurs. Both the front and rear need adjusting. I'd advise going to a bike shop but I opted out and put in 10+ hours with the help of KZbin. Ended up fraying a shifter cable but all in all I learned from the experience. The Brakes work well but the front caliper needs adjusting or at least mine did because the rotor was rubbing against the pads. Make sure you swap out the seat, grips, and pedals. For the short run you'll be fine though. I've read that this bike isn't built yet for hard trails but I just need it for the city. PA has some of the worst roads and being in a mountain this was a great choice. Worth the investment!
