I'm grateful to say I never lost my way of life since my youth... I had to put it on pause while I served in the 25th Infantry. I damn near lived in the jungle, so I had no choice. But my first purchase when I got home was a BMX bike... I just turned 50 this month and I still BMX, MTB, and road cycle. I pulled my skateboard out and skated with my kids lastnight. My girls are stoked they have a dad they can do all kinds of things with. They have friends who wish they did... It is sad that some people have to stop doing things like that cause life gets in the way. I had to learn to shuffle things if I still wanted to do all the things I've always loved to do. I'm very grateful for that.

Difference over 100m between gear ratio 39x20 down to 39x12 (still a long way off 62x16) is in the range of 0,6 seconds according to Kyle/Mastropaolo. With gearing along the way there's still an advantage over 125m possible in the same range. Again Kyle with his invention called The Browning Automatic Transmission. But technical progress especially concerning off-road bikes since then really expanded. Track cycling is much more about aerodynamics and in sprint about power, but Eddy Merckx would up to a few kilometers lose from real teenage girls, that is with of cause their current track bikes. it's not, that the world since then has seen a huge shift of power towards girls and women.🤣

The track bike was in such a high gear. I'd have opted for a medium chain ring and made up for it witb high cadence. I used to ride a very similar bike, with the only difference being it was a roadie with 6 gears. I messed with my gearing on that bike as my front derailer went bad.... My top speed I got while drafting at around 45 mph at an almost stupid cadence, however I beat every BMX rider Ik in acceleration
@albr43 жыл бұрын
the track cyclist would smash all of them if his chainring was smaller, his chainring is so big that it takes 150m to pedal at a normal cadence
@SSCartelMuscle2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's same thing with my road bike too I have a big 58t chainring on the front with 11t cassette in the back and on that gear it's so slow at acceleration but once I put into a much lower gear it accelerates really quickly because I converted it to only 9 speed because of upgrading from a 50t to 58t its a 2021 Giant contend 3 so the back sprockets are 11t up to a 32t in the back so if you put it in like a way lower gear and still be on the 58t chainring it flies in acceleration I got it up to 31 mph on a flat road in 56 degrees weather and a little windy so I'm gonna try when it gets way warmer out to raise that top speed to 35 to 40 mph on a flat road
@SSCartelMuscle2 жыл бұрын
My Race Bmx has 39t sprocket in the front and 9t cassette in the back and on the same day went 30.5 mph on a flat but in way better and warmer weather conditions with that gearing with strong enough legs it should be able to do 35 to 37 mph on a flat but I gotta build my legs up to that

The fastest longevity runs will always go to the road/track type of bike but it can't do much but just ride on a clean paved road, the mountain bike is great for literally anything and it can take jumps and it has a good speed for longevity too, and the BMX has a killer short run speed and is easier to do tricks and can take jumps too. But overall I prefer a mountain bike all day everyday, even for days when I keep it simple on paved roads.

The last round was possible because of the functionality of all those Bikes 1) Winner ( TRACK ) - Because they are made for traveling long distances without a lot effort so, when you will catch alot of speed then it's easy to drive. 2) MTB ( 2nd ) - MTB are the most common Bikes in the world. They are able to catch speed faster than others but because they are high their center of mass is high so, they won't be able to catch alot of speed. But they are able to maintain their speed for a long time. 3) BMX ( Last player to complete ) - They are short so, you can easily catch it's top speed ( For a while ). But, you need alot of training to drive those little Bikes because they are short and sensitive. You can only maintain your top speed for just a little time. That's all what are my opinions, If I am not accurate then explain me.
