Nice job. I did a fox 49 and fox rear shock...I used a 26 inch sunringle and michelin 34 tire. Try to stay with 26 diameter imo as too large messes with the geometry too much. 3 inch ' bars and spaced up an inch on the stem seems to be great...Plastic/poly motor guard from Australia. Luna seat. magura throttle. footpeg brace and new pegs. luna rotors and shimano pads. 52 sprocket. center speedo..The 49 scoots the axle an inch forward which takes care of high speed dirt road stability. Love the bike...One of my goals was to keep it light.

Nice build. I LOVE the 26" front wheel,! It made my bike so much more! I did Change the rear tire to something taller - a 19" shinko (kinda heavy) This offset the geometry issues with running a 26" up front. And I lowered my crowns just a hiar

Bike looks nice,, remove that top spacer on head tube and put on a Cane Creek zero stack,, it will raise the front of your bike up close to 5/8th of inch. I noticed you you used some spacers and riser bars.
@ridefarm55283 жыл бұрын
The stock headset is about over an inch high. We put spacers because we wanted to go even higher.
@chriscall34253 жыл бұрын
@@ridefarm5528 I'm talking about the spacer beneath the top crown in the headtube, the big black spacer. If you remove that, the bar height remains the same, but the frame will rise,,, and keeps you from rollin over balls everytime you brake. I have a sur ron too.. Send your used 40 to Avalanche and have them build you a Woodie shock and it’ll blow the suspension away on this build. If I did a custom build I’d really consider the DVO Emerald fork with Woodie shock. Or possibly a Curnutt XTD F1 fork if I could find one. Though it was for 26” wheels so A2C might not be long enough. Why would you want 27.5” wheels? I would not trust them for strength or the tire for grip/longevity/rim protection on such a heavy bike.
