I loved GU-L’s title theme from the first time I heard it. It sounded so eerie, intimidating and incomplete (mostly due to its interrupted-loop nature), yet super cool. Bringing it new life through Yume Nikki’s very similar musical language was such a genius idea, considering they both share the same game engine and release time-window. It feels weirdly complete, now. The goofy semi-rotoscoped animation and incredible background work is the cherry on top.
