DREAM Fights That Need To Happen This Summer

There are so many matchups that need to be made in the UFC so i came up with a list of realistic dream fights that the UFC need to make this summer. Some of these fights are close to happening, wheras others are most likely not going to happen. Let me know what dream matchups you have

I truly think Tom aspinall beats Jon jones

Thats such a logical pick, tottaly dont understand why people act like this is an hot take. Yes Jon Jones is the greatest fighter (of all time) but thats HEAVILY resume based. After his first like 4-5 title defenses where he did dominate everyone, he started to struggle more and more eventually having very close fights with Gustaffson, DC, Santos, also he LOST to Reyes. Important thing is that this is all LHW, the HW is by no means a better division than the LHW, But the true natural top heavyweight are going to have a severe edge over the LHW that move up. If you didn't already notice, Jon Jones STRUGGLES anytime he's against a bigger opponent or atleast an equally sized opponent. His striking is heavily dependend on his massive height and reach advantage that he has over MOST LHW (especially 5-10 years ago) but apart from his Unorthodox and creative striking, he really doesn't have that CRAZY threat on the feet No KO power at all. Jones has some of the best clinching game ever, but again thats also very heavily dependend on your size and strength (DC,santos,Reyes) these were all big strong guys who jones struggled to take down or dominate in the clinch. And this is where I want to mention the ciryl gane fight, so many people are overhyping this win for Jones. Yes it is an impressive win for Jones, but if you take the context into reality: Ciryl gane got outgrappled by francis ngannou. Francis Ngannou has NEVER tried to seriously grapple his opponents the only reason he took that fight with a grappling heavy approach was because his knee was heavily injured. Ciryl gane has the worst groundgame of any top HW, and that while Jones probably has one of the best groundgame in mma in general let alone the HW. If you think Jon jones is just going to shoot a single leg on Aspinal, take him down and sub him, Then you might just possibly haven't watched any Aspinal fights or Jones fights except his last. Tom Aspinal is prominently a grappler, his mma background is BJJ. He is basically just another Usman/Topuria where a grappler knocks a few dudes out, and starts to just box his way through the division. He might not be on the level or experience that Jones has on the ground, but he is absolutely not oblivious to what his doing on the ground. He is bigger than Jones, he is quicker and more agile than Jones, he is DEFINITLY more powerful than Jones. Jones on the other hand has better cardio, more reach, more experience and probably more fighting IQ. Look im not saying its a 100% aspinal destroys jones (i think that could be possible) But the way people are acting like Aspinal doesn't stand a chance and how Jones doesn't take him serious at all is just a complete casual take. Their physical stats + their recent fight(stats) speak for themselves Tom Aspinal is GENUINELY a threat to Jon Jones unlike any fighter he has faced before and Jones knows that and its exactly why he is refusing to fight aspinal.

Israel should wait for his title shot. Winner of Khamzat v Whittaker needs a title shot and Strickland needs a rematch because it was a VERY close fight. With Israel in the title picture, Strickland will have to wait a year for a rematch when many believe he won the last fight.
