I think this is the earliest surviving footage of Aerosmith on film. They were on American Bandstand in 1973 but unfortunately, I think that episode is lost. The Midnight Special have been putting out a lot of goodies lately.

Bingo! That's why people are "amazed, dumbfounded etc." about the Stones (Like ROSmth one of the bands about who you refer)and their "magical" new singles. Strip away all or some of the gizmotic "essentiality" that has made recorded music something akin to tonal "Crisco Oil":since 1983 and Wowsa! This is incredible! It's downright revolutionary! Voices and instruments, from humans only and the sound causes goosebumps and chills down the spine? It"s verifiable evidently. It's brilliant. True genius!😂😂. 1970's ROSmth's sound was the most unaltered of all the Rock acts, and they reached top of the heap and stayed there. You can hear the picks hitting the strings and the point of impact when sticks hit drums ànd cymbals.😅 Music like everything else is cyclical . Maybe recording live will become a trend again. I'd love, to have that need to bolt to a record shop and purchase the song that just blew me away on the radio. Just one more time before I croak!😂 👍🎶

They were not at their peak during these sessions. Young and full of energy yes. But not at their musical peak. 76’ they were pretty much there but the heroin and cocaine about did them in. In the 80s the album “Pump” they were at their peak as well. After that “Get a Grip” was pretty awesome. The guitar work from Joe and Brad on “eat the rich”, “living on the Edge”, “crazy”, “amazing” etc..was second to none. They had moments of greatness on “nine lives” as well. After that it was few and far between.
