Well thanks a lot 44Teeth, I have my boss up my ass demanding an explanation for a 28 min poo break... I just remembered doing a 3day racing program with Race Academy at the Lausitzring, back in Aug 2013. Troy Corser himself attended the event and I had the lucky honor of asking him how he experienced the Petronas. He said it had a habit of catching fire.

Great to see these on the road. I had been working at team KR when these were dreamed up, and the project should have gone so much better than it did. Yes it was my understanding that a quantity of the bikes had to be produced only to homologate for a race programme. I seem to think 50 off units. Many thanks for showing us these machines.

Great work chaps. So envious both of you got to spank them a little. I remembered growing up as a Malaysian how proud and excited I was to know Petronas was building these. Even dreamed of owning one some day. Shame it didn’t really happened. I was there when Momoto tried their own revival in Malaysia, but again, that didn’t happen either. Only wished I had a galactic-sized bank account to acquire one now from Lanzante. Those who know Lanzante and their level of expertise would understand why they’ve priced these bikes as such.

Amazing story and what an experience, super sick presentation of the bikes in those racing crates.
