The Best of Times from Dream Theater is another very emotional song from Dream Theater. It's a tribute to Mike Portnoy's (ex-drummer from Dream Theater) father before he passed away. It has one of the most beautiful guitar solos that I've ever heard. Please check it out.

Gosh I love you both, I burst into tears everytime the guitar solo kicks in, Just a tornado of emotions. Dreamtheater has always given me that emotional attachment to their songs and Barstool Warrior is one that made a permanent mark in my heart and soul. A MUST!!....If you haven't done it yet. DT "The Spirit Carries On" will also bring you to tears. The studio version (Scenes From a Memory) is incredible, but the Score-20th Anniversary Live version has a BEAUTIFUL intro by JP that will move you before the song even starts, and when it gets to the solo in the song, be ready for a wave emotion to take over. This band is phenomenal!

That guitar just soars when it kicks in. Caught my attention at first listening. Perfectly constructed and executed song. Drums, keyboard, bass just perfect. Lyrics are a familiar theme but again perfectly written and executed. Mind blowinging (is that a word) awesome composition. A hard look into the observation of an alleged barfly. I've been that guy. Amazing tune. Every bit as cool as LTE's State of Grace which I revist regularly.

I get emotional with music more and more now , it started after my first round of chemo and got more intense with second round, those drugs mess with brain chemistry a lot but in know the feeling, about credits for the song I saw John P. In an interview and he was saying this song was the only song on the album written from a point of fiction (his words) but said there is also truth to is as we have all heard of this guy...

Couple of suggestions for some Dream Theater reactions: Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence - yeah, it's long, but I think all the different aspects of Dream Theater come into play in that song. Dark Eternal Light - If you love Petrucci's crunky guitar playing, you'll love this. Illumination Theory - If you can watch this from the the Breaking the Fourth Wall DVD, the band is playing with an orchestra and choir, amazing interaction between the band and their guests. Oh, and I'll be at the Orlando show too, I can bring some extra tissues for Kel. :-)
