I have an awesome request if you're up for it: The JP/JR solo spot from Luna Park. I lost my mom this year and this fucking Covid loveliness and snow has put her "Celebration of Life" on hold till the spring. I would love to perform this epic piece...Its got the Spirit vibe too, it's perfect. The part where he plays the huge G chord coming from the D root and then back to D is such a perfect climax. And I just started working on this little dumpling a few mins ago. I have to say, yours are some of the only tabs I've seen that have the emotion built in...i usually figure it out by ear, as that's the only way to really learn it 100%...i mean, the tabs....especially DT will get you most of the notes, but the phrasing and execution of each note always gets lost. Yours is amazingly well phrased.

Never...not in a million of sundays i could learn this. Insane!!! To me, i think this is the holy grail of soloing. There is just so much variation in terms of styles and sounds....wow. But as a guitarist myself (and i know you will all do the same), i will take parts out of it to increase my skills.

In my years of listening to various music from every single decade and artist imaginable I never once thought id hear something as beautiful as this solo. I cant even believe what ive just heard. JP plays with the beauty and passion of David Gilmour but amped up to the next level. Thank you for posting this.

Kudos my friend, I can play this by ear, but as a tab it looks amazing, reminds me of when i first played under a glass moon from the images and words tablature book. DT should definitely employ you for any future tab books they may have. Next person that tells me they want to learn a new guitar solo I'm just gonna send them this, i think alot of people are too afraid to even attempt this solo, great Job brother!

Nice one! It is good to see you transcribing those live solos :). I would suggest that there are a couple live solos that you could get: 1) To Live Forever (Japan 1993). 2) A Change of Seasons (1993 version, it's a raw version of ACoS which has interesting elements, its on youtube by the way!)

I need to revisit To Live Forever and see how much the camera stays on JP. With live recordings, they're usually not as clear as studio recordings, so I have to rely more on audio & video in tandem. Basically, I never want to be guessing when I'm transcribing. The original version of ACoS is less likely, but I won't say never. That's another one I should revisit.

@@EvanBradleyTranscriptions It's understandable to rely on the video focusing on JP to get accurate transcriptions because despite having the notes, many fail on getting right the positions, it was only a suggestion based on how good you got this one :)
