I feel almost the same. In my case, it's not that I don't like DT's music, it's just that after 2 or 3 songs, I'm exhausted and I need to listen to something else. But, yeah, like you, I have a lot of respect and admiration for the band and the musicians playing in it. They are monsters.

Mike really seems to go in for those paper thin crashes. Personally I've always preferred the sound of at least a medium myself but I'd love to hear him talk about his gear choice there since I look up to him so much.

In my opinion when Mike Portnoy playing this song it would be different. MM is good drummer and he is a profesor but MP is the real Dream theater.
