Dream Theater - On The Backs Of Angels - full guitar cover

A full cover of Dream Theater's On The Backs Of Angels. I grabbed the stems, removed the original guitars, and did the guitar parts myself. This was mostly an experiment to see how close to the recording's tone I could get. It's not quite 100%, but it's close enough for me.
I used a Mesa Boogie V:25 into a Palmer loadbox, then applied impulses to the tone. I'd already recorded the left rhythm channel, this is video of me doing the right rhythm channel, and all the other parts.
For the 12 string sound on the acoustic, I recorded one track of acoustic (through my Axe FX 2, using an acoustic Tone Match I made), then copied and pasted it on another track and pitchshifted it up one octave. Sounds ok in a mix like this, I think.

I used two. Mesa V30 4x12 SM57 Cone 2inch, and Mesa V30 4X12 MD421 Cone Edge 2inch. Plus one of the Impedance Curve impulses (these should go first in the signal chain).
