all of your videos are just awesome. But do you guys even realize the magic that you make? You two, quite literally, allow those of us that have been metal and hard rock fans forever to hear these songs for the first time again through you. We get to watch you guys go through all of the emotions that we went through way back the first time we heard these incredible songs. For that I thank you both so much. Well done!!

Guys, I'm not lying, this was my favorite review of all those I've seen from any channel. Because you brought me right back to when I first heard Pull Me Under. People don't get why review channels are blowing up on KZbin. It's because a good reviewer has the ability to transported back in time to a timewhen we first heard an amazing song that affected us in some way. I'll never forget, I was in high school and I was weight lifting in a home gym near my school. And then a local rock station talk about this new group called Dream Theatre, and played the song Pull Me Under. I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. So right now, feels good thinking about that moment in time in my life. So thank you for your reviews and for just KILLING IT on this channel. P.S. I have the same reaction when the song ended abruptly like that too! LOL!

The end is EXTREMELY abrupt, but yes, it's intentional. Fun fact, The Beatles did something extremely similar with I Want You (She's So Heavy) back in the 60's, but they literally snipped the physical tape they recorded it on at a random point to get the abrupt ending!

Iced Earth would be great. They should avoid their early stuff--not because it isn't good, but because the early singers are off-putting. Here are my recommendations: Matt Barlow: Dante's Inferno, A Question of Heaven, Melancholy, DamienTim Owens: Declaration Day, Ten Thousand Strong, Gettysburg (though not as a beginning song)Stu Block: Dystopia, Raven's Wings

Progressive thrash? Oh boy, there's a HUGE world out there for you. Coroner, Voivod, Heathen, Mekong Delta, Watchtower, Blind Illusion, Artillery, Deathrow, Vektor, etc. I don't know if this will get any attention because most of these bands never managed to break into the mainstream (except for Vektor), but there's some incredibly stuff in this you'd definitely enjoy. Some songs you'd like would be: Coroner - Semtex Revolution Heathen - Hypnotized

One of the best things I have ever seen at a gig was when I saw DT and Opeth performing, and Mike Portnoy invited Max from Opeth and the drummers from the two other supporting band's to come up and battle him, and then at the end of it they all went up and played on his kit with him. It was jaw dropping!

Pull Me Under is probably the first Dream Theater song most people ever hear, and for many it is the only Dream Theater song they ever hear... most committed DT fans "move on" from it reasonably quickly and while they never forget about it, they probably subconsciously file it away as "the commercial early hit". But it really is a genuinely great composition - basically it is perfect in every way and I think DT fans ought to champion and promote it more. This video shows the power it has to blow people away!
