Dream Theater - Regression, Overture 1928, and Strange Deja Vu Live in San Francisco 2000

Anyway, I decided to re-upload this because I de-interlaced it incorrectly the first time around. However, as I started EQing the video, I realized that I could EQ it much better than I did with my first upload. Here's a portion of the description from the first upload, which contains details about the bootleg and the show:
"This was aired on a Japanese TV station called Rock City. I'm not certain that Through My Words and Fatal Tragedy are from the San Francisco show, but I know that Regression, Overture, and Strange Deja Vu are, since James shouts "San Fran!" at 8:15, and there are no gaps between the songs. Also, Through My Words and Fatal Tragedy have multiple camera shots, while the rest of the show doesn't, which further raises the suspicion that they may be from a different show. [They also have completely different mixes.] Another interesting thing from this footage is that John uses his Ibanez JPM P2 on Fatal Tragedy, which served as his backup guitar for most of the Metropolis 2000 tour. This is because he only had one Music Man prototype at the time, which is also why he still used his Ibanez guitars for Home [which is in drop D tuning], and songs that required a seven-string."

I'm still disappointed with the end of "MrDreamTheater2" channel. He's excluded many rare videos, like the Christmas special shows in 1998, the epic gig in Rio de Janeiro, 1997, and many cool mashups (Sacrificed Skies, Dream Theater vs. Mr. President and so on). But it's great to see that there are some people, like you, who still keep the DT bootleg culture alive.

Thanks, I'm really glad you enjoy and appreciate my work. It really is a shame that everything happened the way it did with MrDT and his channel. I talked to him a while back, and he told me that, if he uploads to DT Archive again, it'll only be to get his time and money that he put into DT back, not out of genuine interest or passion for the band. He lost interest in DT years ago, so unfortunately, you might not see those videos you mentioned ever again. However, I've been thinking of remastering and uploading some bootlegs from videos that I really missed from his channel, like the second Sparks 1992 show, and the first show from the Six Degrees tour. I'm actually working on remastering the Sparks show right now! I'd be happy to remaster and upload those shows you mentioned as well, since I have those bootlegs, too. He told me not to worry about it when I asked what master files he still has, so I'm certain he won't mind if I make my own upload of bootlegs he's uploaded in the past. Are there any other bootlegs from his channel that you'd like to see again?

@@VincePazera I appreciate the work that you put into your channel to keep the bootleg culture alive! You didn't ask me this question, but I will say that one of the things that MrDT had on his channel that I enjoyed were bootlegs from the 2003 Escape From The Studio tour. James had finally recovered from his vocal injury (in 2002 he couldn't hit the F# in Learning to Live, and in 2003 he was able to hit it again as shown in MrDT's Kansas 2003 show), as well as the band playing covers of Fates Warning and Queensryche with the bands themselves on stage. It was a great tour but there's so little content from it on the web! Another forgotten video from his channel is the 1996 opening show they did at The Chance, Poughkeepsie. They debuted the demo versions of FIF songs at that show, and James was in top form (He hit the F# in Learning to Live at that show, and I don't think he did it again for the remaining 5 shows in 1996. '96-'97 He sounded great, but mostly in 1997. But that one show at The Chance he was great.

Well, my favorite bootleg period is the Derek Sherenian era (since the pre-food poisoning 1994 gigs until vert last "Heading For Planet X", with the special Christmas shows in 1998). Aside from the shows that I mentioned earlier, I would be happy to see more 1994 and 1996 presentations - the 1994 LaBrie gives me chills and the DT setlists on the few shows that they did in 1996 were great!
